Yes. It was explicit exposition. They told us.

Luke called to her for help and she briefly tapped into the Force to help find him. They didn't know where Luke was till she did that and it was not explained in ESB. I always interpreted it as she didn't understand what was happening but just knew.

Vader said it, but no one knew for sure at the end of the film if it was true. Luke wasn't sure till Yoda confirmed it in ROTJ. That scene of Yoda telling Luke it was true was meant just as much to confirm it to the audience as it was to Luke. I assure you many fans debated of Vader might be lying or not until ROTJ came out. It was stated in exposition as you said, yet was still a plot thread that needed to be fully resolved.

You can figure out the best places to search. Each movie has it's own file. Make sure you download the latest versions as they occasionally tweak them. If you still have issues send me a PM and I will help you this weekend.

I just read that link and didn't understand a single goddam word if it.

I think it makes sense, because I took it as more of, "don't forget we've also got Leia."

It tells you what to search for on your favorite site to do such things. Anyways I'll send you and everyone else asking a link when I get a chance.

I'm guessing there's a divide that sorts pretty well by age between those of us who have a "favorite site for such things" and those of us who don't.

Actually ROTJ was very much up in the air at that point. Some plans had it having a much darker ending with Luke killing Vader and becoming him in his place. The "other" would be a new character not seen before. Several darker versions were discussed till Lucas took full control again and decided to make the movie we have. Making Leia his sister was an easy out to cover up what could be a plot whole and worked well with the scene in ESB of her briefly tapping into the Force.

I'm not a big fan of pirating media but I figured most people half way tech literate knows what Piratebay is or have an alternative in mind.

*spoilers* I didn't want to spell it out in respect to Fok and the forum as to not promote piracy here.

Not sure why so many seem to be hung up on the plausibility of every plot point and character attribute. "Realistic" doesn't a good movie make.

From the Wikipedia page:
Quote:
Tolkien says that, in order for the narrative to work, the reader must believe that what he reads is true within the secondary reality of the fictional world. By focusing on creating an internally consistent fictional world, the author makes secondary belief possible. Tolkien argues that suspension of disbelief is only necessary when the work has failed to create secondary belief. From that point the spell is broken, and the reader ceases to be immersed in the story and must make a conscious effort to suspend disbelief or else give up on it entirely.

That was easy.

It's a movie for 10-year-olds. The original was a movie for 10-year-olds. Don't overthink it.

Very easy. Thanks for backing up what we've been saying. Nothing in TFA was inconsistent with this fictional world of Star Wars. smile.gif

I've never stolen media so I have no idea what a torrent is. However, I can double think this one as I paid to see the original trilogy a few times, the special editions, and the prequels. I would just like to see what they did with them. Once. Happy to pay for that.

Surprised no one simply hosts a link.

Jr, can Dopey and I come over to your place and watch them? I will bring beer and pretty sure he's good for nosh.

I think that it's divided by native nerdiness.

I've bought the OT so many times in different formats I could care less if they ever get another dime out of me for them. Don't feel bad in the least for downloading them.

Name the date and time. Bring the beer + nosh and I'll grill up us some steaks. Come early as watching all three is the long haul. fistbump.gif
