There were those Dark Forces games that were pretty good too.

EDIT - Holy shit, the fucking Atari arcade game.

I can't even count how many paper delivery quarters were spent on that game.

isn't that illegal, even in Inter-galactic law?

So many mentions of star war games but no mention of X-wing? The game was amazing for it's time. I spent hours playing it, it was way ahead of its time, something that Lucasarts games usually aren't. Jedi Knight series was also decent, even last part Jedi Academy was very good with all the combos you could pull with light saber. First Battlefront was also great, 2nd one was meh, I still have to try 3rd one.

ps. wtf Harvey
what's up with new avatar, TV lady you wanted to bone back in the day or what xD

I feel like people saying TFA is a remix of ANH are slightly off. Sure it's there, but I felt like the movie mixed in elements off all three original movies. The start certainly had an ANH vibe going, but then we get a little ESB and the final battle with the cuts between a personal lightsaber fight and ship battle was all ROTJ.

That Atari game was one of my all time favorites. I'd love to own an old arcade unit.

Not trying the 3rd SW-Battlefront game is better than trying it.

Trust me.

Where the fuck was the Rebel Alliance's mighty fleet in TFA, too far away to help?

True story that will blow your mind. Splinter of the Mind's Eye was based on Lucas' original story idea for the sequel to ANH. He ended up throwing it out but it got later turned into a book. I've never read it but heard it's an odd story.

I don't think it was counted as official EU but I could be wrong.

I'd kill for them to make a movie based on KOTOR.

I might be imagining this but back in ye oldern days when you had to wait a month for the fan newsletter to come out, wasn't there an article that Lucas' original plan was a "Journal of the Whils" which would be 12 episodes in length and at the very very end Luke would have to sacrifice himself to the ultiate evil to save the galaxy?

X-wing was good, but Tie Fighter was better.

It's the chick from the N-E-S-T-L-E-S commercial.

Silver storm trooper as a Mara Jade type character? Falls for Luke but is later destroyed by ren?

Maybe. I could see that working. If anything it would give her an actual role in the next film. She didn't have a lot to do in this film even if her small parts were fun.

I read it when I was about 10, so 36 years ago. All I really remember is thinking WTF through the whole thing and then seeing ESB and realizing that nothing from the book had made it into the next movie.
