Every time I read something about the Star Wars books I wish I could forget it.

Most of this is repetitive childish crap, but beginning at the mark above for about a minute and a half it's fairly laughable.

New trailer was...not that amazing actually, anyone else think so? Think I preferred the first teaser trailer. But movie still looks exciting, will see when it comes out.

I'm glad somebody finally said it. It basically said "This is going to be a new star wars movie. The characters will be boring cliches. Enjoy!"

I like Star Wars, as in, the Star Wars movies. That's why all this garbage that's followed upsets me.

The trailer provides new hope that the shitiness of the prequels is behind us.

What prequels? Are you saying there's a fourth Indiana Jones movie, too??

That said, this trailer didn't do as much for me as the last teaser, which actually did have me looking rather forward to this.

On the other hand, I guess lowering my expectations won't hurt, as there's no chance I'm *not* going to see this...

I need to acquire a version or the originals to watch prior to the release.

Anyone here actually watched Harmy's Despecialized edition? Or should I just watch the BluRay version?

Looks like they have released updated versions of ANH and ESB, but he doesn't think he will be done with a v2.0 of ROTJ before the new film is released.

I like the progress he is making with ROTJ here: (view in HD)
Right now the the only available version of ROTJ uses DVD sources at best. ANH uses BluRay and 35mm print scans as well as other sources.

Harmy's Despecialized editions are amazing. Do not hesitate to download them. They are the best versions of the film you will find until they finally decide to release the unaltered versions of the OT on Blu-Ray. Even then the Harmy versions may end up being preferable because of the amount of work they put into correcting coloring issues that the latest HD versions of the films have had.

I've bought many versions of the trilogy over the years. Downloading Harmy's Despecialized editions didn't bother me in the least. I've given them my money and more then a fair chance to release the OT with no changes. In some ways the Harmy's Despecialized edition is an effort to preserve art. ;)

I grew up with the THX VHS set that came out right before the special editions (which I believe were transfers from the Laserdisc remasters, and are thus the most un-futzed with versions you could buy)...but I don't really desire VHS quality.

Newest version despecialized it is.

I love Star Wars, but am amazed at the devotion some take it to. I would never even occur to me to "despecialize" the movies. I think I'd rather sit around with Ataturk and grouch.

Where to download?
