What was the plan supposed to be, anyway--Jabba lowers his guard after he's raped her a couple times? Didn't Leia have like an entire army at her disposal--why didn't she just take a dozen commandos and a big bucket of cash and ask forcefully?

In case the Star Wars movie turns out to be a disappointment, there's always the J.J. Abrams Star Trek!

JJ isn't directing this time.

His name is displayed more prominently than the director's, and his awful company's logo appears at the beginning of the trailer.

I don't see why he'd want to distance himself from it. It couldn't be worse than "Trek Into Darkness."

That's right, it's directed by Justin Lin, of the Fast and the Furuious sequels. Justin is a swell guy.

I can't tell if that was a decent trailer ruined by the music, or just a bad trailer. Needs more of that signature Michael Bey DERRRRRRN sound.

Should have done a fourth remake of Wrath of Khan instead.

You mean that foghorn sound that has been used in every trailer since Inception?

Massive fart.

I played the three trailers on IMDB's front page (X-Men, Superman, Independence Day 2) and they all had the BRAAHM in'em. Barf.

Hans Zimmer reportedly regrets inventing/using it for the Inception trailer.

Inception is an outstanding film and the sound worked great for it. I agree it's been over used in trailers since.

Be warned. There are morons threatening to spoil TFA across all your Facebooks unless they get Mara Jade back.

They went and did it. Here it is:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

It's basically a fast-paced remake of Star Wars with nostalgia substituting for originality or charm.
