I just saw them recently. Had them for a while, and one evening I just decided to see what the big deal was. Decent movies, but nothing special IMO.

I also recently saw the Indiana Jones trilogy, and thought it was great. I don't know what else to say. I guess Star Wars is a movie that does better with young people. As I am getting older I really I am starting to avoid movies like Avatar, and Batman. Just do not peak my interest anymore. Although I still love Tim Burton's first Batman. I saw that movie as a child, and still think it is great. Compare that to the Nolan trilogy which I thought was a piece of shit.

I think age might be the factor I am in my 30's now. Perfect example would be 10 years ago, I was so exited to go see Sin City in the theater, and now I am pretty sure I will never watch the sequel.

Sorry if I offended any of you guys. I understand that Star Wars was a big part of your childhood, and brought you a lot of enjoyment, and excitement. That is pretty cool.

Star Wars is old and influential enough that it's best viewed as a film landmark. "Updating" it with a veneer of cheap CGI from the early 2000s ruins the experience.

I have them on Laserdisc. Title crawl reads Episode 4 but it's close enough.

Probably because Lucas spent the last 25 years shitting on them.

Did you ever read internet classic "Ewok genocide" essay detailing the trauma the moon would have suffered after the death star blew up so close to it?

Maybe there'll be a subplot where we occasionally cut to the Ewoks as they succumb to long-term radiation sickness -- cancer, blindness, retarded children. Like in the movie "Threads."

It's just missing "episode 7" in the marketing. It will be on the opening crawl and Blu Ray box set. The old movies didn't uses the numbering in marketing either.

Fairly intricate, and yet fake, teaser popped up on youtube recently.
