Sizing help on Converse John Varvatos chucks

Hi all,

Just about to put the money down on some John Varvatos multi lace chucks, but im a bit confused as to what size to get. The problem is I live in Australia and looking to buy these online, but it's usually a hit or miss affair getting the right sizing on shoes since we use a different system.

In my Onitsuka Tigers Mexico 66, I fit perfectly in a size US 9
In my Chuck Taylor All Star His, I fit perfectly into a size US 8

So the question is what size should I buy the Varvatos in?

Yeah thats what Im planning to do, but Zappos dont ship overseas.
So ill have to go through my relative in the US and I dont want to keep troubling them sending shoes back and forth.

I needed to go up half a size from chucks for my varvatos jack purcells.

Do the Purcells in general run smaller than the chucks? I tried chucks on in the store and I was a 9. I ordered some custom purcells online in that same size. Today I tried on some slipon chucks with no laces and I was an 8.5. We'll see in 3 weeks I guess, hope I got the right size.

if you go to the converse site it usually tells you nwhat size you need with thier flash selector thingie.

I think purcells generally run smaller than chucks...Im a chucks 11 and purcell 12, could´t fit anything smaller.

I'm a 9.5 D dress shoe. Like others say, I go down to a 9 for the chucks, including varvatos chucks. Anything purcell (including varvatos purcell) I keep my regular dress shoe size. Hope that helps...

Yea, i'd say down about a half to full size for chucks, half size for purcells. Hopefully it'll work out for you.

10.5 in Chucks, 11 in the Varvatos Purcells.

Can I get some confirmation on sizing, to be sure? I think I'm a US 9 in Varvatos Chuck slip ons, am definitely a US 10 in Adidas Sambas.

Would I be a 9.5 in Varvatos Purcell slip ons?
