do miss the old mary anne hobbs bbc 1 experimental days, don't even bother listening w/o subs

also @flowcharts siriusmo wow! want to see live and happy euro rage, can't believe I didn't know about him since I like modeselector, been listening all week, album is a journey first track is bliss, thanks for posting!

Yes, siriusmo just consistently makes good stuff, with really strong production values (relative to the genre) that add a lot to his songs. I'm really partial to his reverb changes in this one that just envelop the whole room for a second and disappear.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'd definitely recommend checking out more artists on the Monkeytown label (apparat if you haven't already, & there's some ok stuff from modeselektor & apparat working together as moderat)

Unrelated, except from a soundstaging appreciation standpoint:  yong yong:inlove:

and favorite use of a busta rhymes sample (at around 2:55)

They sort of became a parody of themselves by the 90's, but what they did between 84-86 was insane in the best possible way. I was like 14/15 and playing those records scared the shit out of people around me. I've had the chance to meet most of them as adults and they're all super nice( with maybe a little baggage haha)

I saw them live in 1990 (I think) and they were scarily good still then.
