Anyone in SF going to NoisePop? I saw these guys last night. They were good. The front man looks kinda like Reedobandito.

In a collision of genres, two longtime internet music blogger/nerd favorites released a song today on Beatport. Although Collin McLoughlin has been doing more electronic stuff as of late (apparently he was even on one of those Idol-esque shows? I just know him from the interwebs).

Any Foxygen fans in this thread? I just wanted to pop in and say that they are terrific live. I saw them at a shitty local bar last night and they still had a really loud and full sound. The singer has a lot of stage presence too and was just making all kinds of crazy faces and generally hamming it up the whole time. They opened for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and it pretty much ruined UMO's set because they were so much better.

I can't link to youtube videos and stuff since I'm at work, but here's their bandcamp page:

D'Angelo (in Junya?) and ?uestlove yesterday. It's a cover of S.O.S. Band's "tell me if you still care". D'Angelo is on that Dr. Dre album release timeline... it's supposed to drop this year though.
