Can't believe this actually got released. Probably not worth listening to without a sub.

Went to DInosaur Jr a few nights ago. Good show and nice to see how a band can grow into a new audience without being an oldies act. It's pretty much just down to them and Yo La Tengo as longest standing bands now that Sonic Youth is done.

New Nicolas Jaar was just streamed, thought it was pretty disappointing on first impression. Can't link anything here but there's only two tracks I liked.

Some of his older stuff:

I don't see how the Bon Iver album is good, listened to it all the way through a few times and it gets worse with each listen, bunch of weird electronic sounds including auto tune, some smooth jazz near the end. All the song titles are in weird characters, like he's too above the game to use the regular alphabet now.

You don't have to take this crap (Click to show)
You don't have to take this crap
You don't have to sit back and relax
You can actually try changing it
I know we've always been taught to rely

Upon those in authority -
But you never know until you try
How things just might be -
If we came together so strongly

Are you gonna try to make this work
Or spend your days down in the dirt
You see things can change -
YES an' walls can come tumbling down!

Governments crack and systems fall
'cause Unity is powerful -
Lights go out - walls come tumbling down!

The competition is a colour TV
We're on still pause with the video machine
That keep you slave to the H.P.

Until the Unity is threatend by
Those who have and who have not -
Those who are with and those who are without
And dangle jobs like a donkey's carrot -
Until you don't know where you are

Are you gonna get to realize
The class war's real and not mythologized
And like Jericho - You see walls can come tumbling down!
Down! You'll be too weak to fight it
Down! Ah, the world's ignited
Down! Oh, when you're united

Are you gonna be threatend by
The public enemies No. 10 -
Those who play the power game
They take the profits - you take the blame -
When they tell you there's no rise in pay

Are you gonna try an' make this work
Or spend your days down in the dirt -
You see things CAN change -
YES an' walls can come tumbling down!

Listened to the leak yesterday, loving it so far. Need to give it more plays throughout the week, hopefully not a one time thing but understandable if so. Had me going back to some new De La stuff as well to compare.
