Right. But where do you find that they are not low?

The pockets are big, and low, but it really works with the cut of the top block. Here are my 1950 rinse straight out of the bag.

they are low and large, but not really that low and large.

Some people like to sag them a little bit, and it gives quite a large sagging, antifit effect. which looks good on some people.

Personally i don't sag. the low large pockets work well for me because they don't make my ass look huge.

It's really not something you notice that much.

i just got some 1980s (the old run) and they do in fact have oversized back pockets. if you do put your wallet in your back pocket it does take a bit of getting used to but after that its fine, and it does work well with the cut

Anyone know of a place that is still selling the rigid canvass 1980s? I didn't see any at the affiliates, although I'm totally certain I could have missed a pair. I checked in with a local store that told me that they didn't think KMW would be making them anymore, which I hope is a god damn lie but secretly fear is true.

The canvas pants were very popular and I am sure they will be made again soon. I will tell you that they will not be released in fall/winter as of right now. Probably the best place is to keep your eye on the buying and selling forum.

If you can't find them, there are a few other options which look pretty good.

Samurai also made a pair which looked very similar.

shit there's actually heaps of them:
the studio d'artisan one looks nice:

Left Field ones are a great price with some cool details:

None of them are quite the same colour as the KMWs, but they look pretty nice in their own right.

Man you probably knew that already, i was just having fun browsing around.

Atsui: appreciate the heads up, although the news makes me a slightly sadder human being than I was 10 minutes ago.

Hendrix: Appreciate the browsing around. I had seen a couple of those, you did find a couple more I hadn't looked at.

I'm embracing the SF philosophy on this one: I will wait to get what I really want, instead of a close approximation. The colour is just too damn nice to pass up. I'm now kicking myself for not grabbing the pair that were up on B&S last month (I think Grundletaint was selling them?). Fuck you Reginald Bartholomew- if that's even your real name.

Is this mule still alive and kicking? Haven't seen anything from them since a long while ago.

I love my 1950's fit, tho they did shrink a little more in length then I wanted on initial (cold) soak. I will be keeping them clear of warm or hot water.

My understanding as well.

The 2010 is actually closer to the 1980 in the top block, but the pockets aren't quite as low on the 2010. The 1950 has the highest rise/loosest top block of the three. I've owned all three.

Yes, they are alive and kicking. We did a special run of 1980s this spring. In fall (about September), they are releasing several denims which will be carried in other retailers. We will stock everything available which includes 1980s, 1980 blacks, 1950s, rockers all raw and all in LHT (except maybe 1980 blacks, not sure on that fabric.)

Will they be doing anything other than denim this fall?
