Sorry, just a quick question. I'm getting a great deal on some KMW 2010's from a store in LA, but I'm in Colorado, so I'm buying them site unseen. If you happen to know, would you say the fit of the 2010 is similar to RRL straight legs/Levi 501s, or looser?

Thanks!
2010 is wider and looser in the leg than a 501 but lower rise and a tighter top block.

Thanks ma1, that's just what I needed to know.

the 2010 are very large from the knee down, I have a pair and immediately had a good chunk taken in on them. Top block seemed very similar to the 1950s I had tried on a week before.

I've found the above to be true.

Also, well fitted hendrix, well fitted.

EDITED FOR QUESTION TIME

As far as I can gather, KMW has been around for a couple/few years, this thread documenting some of that time. I also gather that KMW has a good reputation and the sales/following to back it up. I'm curious, as per the name of this thread, if KMW was ever thought to be overhyped? Was it the Chinese garment construction? Did a sort of conflict/resolution take place between those who enjoy(ed) the Kicking Mule on those who didn't/don't?

Here is a more accurate break down on KMW fits:

2010s - - these are a traditional straight leg which are pretty much a stove pipe fit. Straight leg from the thigh to the leg opening with no taper.

1950s - - by the measurements they are nearly identical to the 2010 fit except at the knee they will taper to the leg opening.

1980s - - slim in the thigh, straight from knee to leg opening

Rocker - - skinny, tapers from thigh to leg opening

I want to do a small sale on KMW. Let's say this weekend only and ends Sunday at 11:59pm.

20% off all raw, one-wash models
30% off everything else

Order through our online and hyphenate your last name with "SF". Price will indicate full price, but I will manually discount them and follow up by e-mail. Paypal is OK as well and send me an e-mail to confirm.

Oh, there are still a few samples left. We will say 30% off what ever they are priced at during this weekend as well.

Enjoy!

This has been confirmed true. If anyone is interested in having me proxy a pair of these for them, shoot me a PM.

So when people are saying to size down one for the 1980 in the raw, do you mean by the jeans' measured or tagged size? So I'm a 34 true waist, wear a 32 apc ns. Would I go for a 32 tagged size (measured 33) or the 33 (measured 34)? thanks
post #360 of 539
tagged size. but of course, its always better if you know your own true waist and use the measured size to decide. if you are 34, probably 32 tagged would be about right. they will stretch in the waist about an inch, and dont really shrink all that much when washed.
