KMW — believe the hype

got some 30/32 KMW's in 1950 cut (thanks for steering me that way LA Guy).

Maybe this info will help someone who is on the fence:

They are exactly what I was looking for. I love the fit of my RRDS, but sometimes the branding is too much. Enter KMW 1950 cut. Got em' in my natural waist size (30, same as RR) and the fit is great! They are minimal in design with a darker orangish stitch than what nudie uses... making them more understated overall. The coin pocket selvage thing seems a bit out of place... but I can deal with it. The denim is very nice and a bit streaky which I like, it is definetly lighter than other japanese selvage I own which is good cause it gives my rotation some variation.

I can tell these will see maximum usage in my rotation. Everything about them just seems "right".

KG, I pm'ed you about something else. About the KMW, I would love to own a pair, but I can't get over the selvage coin pocket. It just irks me the wrong way. I personally think they would sell more if they just make a regular pocket.

I replied to your PM.

Yeah, coin pocket thing is unneccessary... but they're still very nice.

I have to cast my vote for 'yay' on the KMW. I bought it a week ago from Mauro in Denimbar and was shipped to me within a week. I got the Rocker and the fit is perfect for me. The raw denim is quite rigid but after wearing it for a week, it's conforming to my body very nicely. The selvage coin pocket give it a 'diesel' stripe appearance at first glance. What are the pockets like in the 1950's? Are they low?

Pic of selvage coin pocket? Having trouble visualizing what y'all are talking about.

Lol-- Hugo Boss isn't tacky, is it? Haven't seen their jeans. Hugo Boss is a German label that's generally pretty classic though.

No, by "boss" I meant "totally sweet."

I also just got a pair of KMW 1950's. Came in the mail yesterday from Revolve. Purchased them Mon. night and had them by Thurs. plus got the 30% off for first time customer. So kind of a no brainer. But that would mean nothing if the jeans were shit, but to the contrary. The fit is very nice. I bought my natural waist 36, and they fit a little loose compared to my APC NS's but offer a very nice look. The denim is great. Somewhat stiff at this point but I was only able to wear them last night around the house. I could already feel them beginning to conform. I bought the 1950 because I was a little concerned that the 1980 might fit too skinny. Based on the fit of these I don't think that would really be an issue given the measurement of the 1980 is only an inch difference in the knee and leg opening. I may order a pair of them just to have a different look. I don't mind the selvage pocket. It doesn't bother me one way or another. But the craftsmanship is outstanding and you can tell they paid attention to detail. I would highly recommend these jeans to anyone looking for a new pair.

Does anyone know where I can score a KMW tee like the one the guy is wearing on the Context site?
