Johnston & Murphy Footwear

Thread Starter

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to purchase a good pair of versatile winter boots for the coming season. In Canada, where I live, the winters can be pretty horrid, and I don't want to sacrifice appearance for comfort, if I can help it. I saw a pair of Johnston & Murphy boots that I like, but I have no experience with this brand. They look good, appear to be well-lined, heavy, and comfortable. Has anyone tried out their footwear, or anything of theirs in general? Alternately, would anyone have any other recommendations for a stylish yet winter-ready boot?

Thanks!

K

The quality won't be nearly as good as that of Allen Edmonds.Dalton.

The again Allen Edmonds Dalton will cost about $200 more unless you catch them on sale or get a pair of seconds.

But I would still recomend AE Daltons over Johnston and Murphy.
