Jeans in NYC

Will be traveling to NY in a couple of weeks and wanted to buy a good pair of jeans. It will be good to try the jeans before I purchase, since I have big thighs, so those slim fit jeans are not really my type. What stores should I visit? What brands should I look for?

Go to any Levi store and check out there 501s. Great RAW Denim:

Come to Self Edge, we've got the largest selection of men's raw selvedge jeans in the city (or country even).

We're on Orchard between Rivington and Stanton in the Lower East Side.
