Navy is good and special enough

J.M. Weston produces their classic 180 loafer in navy. It's nice, rather drab and understated, and it works with a lot of casual outfits.

please elaborate. I tend to enjoy your taste, from what I recall, so maybe some input or explanation may help...

I have no business being in this thread. I can't possibly fathom the appeal of a shoe that's a dress shoe in every respect but color.

So as not to be overly curmudgeonly, I'll throw out the Church's blue suede wingtips. I've actually seen them worn in the wild and look solid with khakis.

Worn these regularly the past summer.

Of the colors mentioned, I'd only wear navy in a dress shoe. I considered a pair of green dress shoes, but realized I'd not wear them enough to justify the purchase.

As FNB once said, the only time you can ever wear a green shoe is on a day your firm exercises an over allotment option on an IPO.
