Up for sale is a rare Canali THREE-PIECE suit in true size 38R. New with tags. Recent model (2011-ish)
The suit is basically built to "Styleforum spec."
It features a slim cut, FULL CANVAS construction, minimally padded shoulders, double vents, and a great "Air Force Blue" in midweight wool. The icing on the cake are the working buttons holes!
The Air Force Blue fabric on this suit is awesome. Subtle stripes. Slightly slubby. Canali sources fabrics from some of the best mills in Italy and England for its suits The fabric on this suit is no exception. Four season weight. You will not be disappointed!
The suit is tagged a size 40R US / 50r EU, but fits like a true 38R US / 48R EU (see measurements below)

-THREE PIECE SUIT (Jacket + waistcoat / vest + flat front pants)
-Made in Italy for Canali
-Full canvas
-Minimally padded shoulders
-Low two button stance (a forum favorite)
-High armholes
-Lush grey four-season weight wool fabric (100% wool)
-Flat front pants
-Double vents
-Jacket fully lined with bemberg cupro
-Slim cut with great trim waist
-Will generally need little or no alterations off the rack
Approximate measurements:
Shoulders from seam to seam: 17.75
Chest pit to pit: 20.75
Sleeve from seam to cuff: 25.5 (with material to let out)
Jacket Length from BOC: 30.25
Waist: 33.5 (with material to let out)
Rise: 10.75
Inseam: hemmed at 33.25 --- can be shortened further or let out slightly (1.75 inch cuffs)
Leg opening: 7.85

The MSRP on Canali three-piece suits is about $2300, which turns into over $2500 when you factor in local sales tax. So consider this a deal on an staple suit in a rare size.
