The Fake Hate Crimes Thread - Page 14

Latest fake hate crime is the staged "persecution" of the little shithead Ahmed Mohammed, who brought a fake bomb to school, then he and his asshole father feign surprise and outrage when the school reacts as though he had brought a bomb to school.

The media loves this story because it furthers their politically correct narrative of persecution of Muslims in the U.S.

The facts are that this kid did not make a clock. He (or more likely his father) bought a commercially available clock and disassembled it, transferring the clock's pieces into a case to make it look like a bomb.

This kid's asshole father is a self-style "lawyer for Islam" who has been involved in a number of publicity stunts promoting his Islamic agenda.

This whole story just shows how gullible (or complicit) the media is in any issues dealing with "Islamaphobia."

Cool conspiracy theory bro.

"I found the highest resolution photograph of the clock I could. Instantly, I was disappointed. Somewhere in all of this – there has indeed been a hoax. Ahmed Mohamed didn’t invent his own alarm clock. He didn’t even build a clock."

If they thought it was a bomb, why didn't they evacuate the school or have the bomb squad blow it up?

But in actual fake hate crimes: http://www.fox4news.com/news/21536949-story
Quote:
Cops: Texas dad vandalized own truck with anti-police messages

A Central Texas man who claimed anti-police vandals had attacked the family pickup truck has been arrested after police believe he vandalized the truck.

Scott Lattin, a disabled veteran, told Whitney police on Sept. 8 someone tagged his truck with "Black Lives Matter" and other graffiti because he displayed pro-police messages and symbols on his pickup.

But on Friday afternoon, Whitney police arrested Lattin on a misdemeanor charge of making a false police report.

"Very disturbing," said Whitney Police Chief Chris Bentley.

Bentley said the investigation turned to Lattin because after FOX4 first broke the story.

"We had initial video when the officers took the report and then when we saw your story on Channel 4. When we looked at those two videos, there were some differences in those and that led us to take the investigation into a different direction,” Bentley said.

Bentley said when they took the report there was no damage to the inside of the truck. But when FOX4 showed up, Lattin showed that the glove box was ripped off and the seats slashed.

Lattin denies the charges by police that he vandalized his own vehicle, telling FOX4, "That's absolutely not true! Absolutely not true."

But Lattin's arrest warrant affidavit said Lattin admitted damaging the inside of his vehicle for insurance reasons.

Police say they're not looking for any additional suspects. More charges against Lattin, including felonies, could be filed.

"We have so many groups that have participated and come to Whitney, Texas of all places to help these people-- and for them to have been deceived? It's just wrong!” Bentley said.

Lattin's neighbor Levonda Bradshaw was suspicious from the very beginning, because they have a fenced in property with dogs that bark at everyone that comes near there.

Word began to spread quickly in the small town of about 2,000 residents of Lattin’s arrest.

"Oh this just makes me sick! This is just wrong,” said Marty Rosseau, Whitney resident.

A Lattin family relative started a Go Fund Me account to help pay for repairs to the truck. In addition, car dealers and body shops even offered to help.

The police chief is asking people to stop sending the family money. He's working with the district attorney's office to see how to handle the Go Fund Me account that raised nearly $6,000 and hopes to get the money back to duped donors.

One online post in particular bothers the chief.

"One of the social media pages said ‘My husband is an officer, I can give you $25 because that's all I can afford.’ That just ripped at my heart,” Bentley said.

In FOX4’s initial report Lattin's 18-year-old son Jason, who wanted to be a police officer, was interviewed. After his father's arrest, neither he nor his mother wanted to talk.

The kid was arrested for a bomb hoax.

The bomb squad doesn't usually blow up fake bombs.

There is not doubt that the kid lied about making a clock. He didn't make or invent anything. He took a clock apart and put the innards into a case. Any 6 year old can do this. He didn't make a clock. He made a fake bomb. Thanks to the limp dick media, it's working out great for him.

The president had the wisdom to once again take sides on something he shouldn't even be involved with and without understanding what happened. "If I made a clock, it would look like Ahmed's."

This whole argument is completely beside the point. It doesn't matter if he "invented" a clock or not. He's a 14 year old kid and he was dicking around with electronics. He took something apart and put it back together, thought it was neat and decided to show it to his engineering teacher. 14 year olds aren't known for being precise with language. He wasn't trying to patent the fucking thing.

The people calling him a "genius" are overreaching, obviously, but this is more curiosity than most high school freshmen show. This should be encouraged, not criminalized.

Hurrr. facepalm.gif

There's absolutely no reason to believe he intended for anyone to think it was a bomb. He wasn't brandishing it, never referred to it as a bomb (calling it a clock repeatedly), and didn't try to place it anywhere that someone might stumble across it and be terrorized. The whole argument is completely idiotic and the only reason anyone would call it a "hoax bomb" is if anything electronic in a small box = bomb. Which is patently absurd. Wires and circuits are scary!

The backlash against this whole thing is hilarious. You guys are all morons for getting so worked up about it. At best this is zero tolerance fearmongering bullshit. Why would anyone support that?

edit, looked it up.

Yeah, Dawkins sounds pretty salty and/or senile. What a dumb thing to get worked up about. He's not competition Richard, he's just a kid. He's allowed to be sloppy with his language, Youtube isn't peer reviewed and he's not applying for a patent or anything.

I would say Obama did fuck this up by injecting himself into it. The reason I think that is all the other zero tolerance things he patently ignored such as the seven year old suspended for eating his Pop Tart into the shape of a gun or the early teen that was suspended for turning in a writing assignment that was a fictional account of hunting a dinosaur with a gun. If Ahmed deserves a trip to the White House and a full ride to university so do these other kids. The only difference of course is one is a brown Muslim and the other ones are white. This is not defending the obvious over reaction of the local "adults" in Texas over Ahmed but rather pointing out Obama's glaringly obvious choices in what to champion and what to ignore.

Well that that thing looked suspicious to me and i really can't fault the authorities for erring on the side of caution.  If they overreacted or not I really don't have enough info to comment on. If the intent of the boy was to create a hoax or not likewise there really is no way to know at this juncture .      Obama, imo, was  ill advised to "take a side "and it was obviously a move to fulfill the agenda rather than expose the truth. All in all a sad commentary on the media ,politics and the ready willingness of people to take a posistion of divisiveness
