I want to get into the blazer game but I'm not sure where to find what I'm currently looking for. Who makes a 1b/2b blazer with a roomy chest, not on the long side, that'd go with black jeans with a slight dropcrotch (zamb)? Optional detail: peak lapels, black or charcoal.

I have not found a single technical blazer that looks good.

I'm kinda fuzzy on the exact look you want-- maybe you could post a pic or two? It sounds like you're interested in a sort of boxy cut. In that case the classic choice would be EG

I could also see this balzer from Lemaire working with droopy crotch pants:

Those Veilance jackets could look good if styled right. Though the cut looks a little imprecise for my taste

I think the look I want is closest to something like this: http://archivesf.com/archivesf_item/boris-bidjan-saberi-black-cotton-blazer/ or one of the RO blazers if they weren't so long. I think the BBS would be too slim in the chest, which is the problem most of the time (and of course, the $$$).

I wish I had stupid long arms for RO blazers too.

Rick makes cropped blazers?

Good ol' Yoox has a bunch of Rick's shorter blazers.

Maybe it's not indicative of the rest of his stuff but I tried that green Lemaire blazer that was on yoox and it sucks.  Fabric was bad, cut was bad.

worth noting that shades of grey is basically a designer knock off label.

This is doubly true if they're made of polyester/rayon/man made fabric. I've never seen one of those drape or fit even remotely well.

Armani actually some pretty good techy fabric blazers -- if you're into that look.

dunno what to tell you, man. haven't tried that particular one. but yeah the cuts will be weird if you're used to really slim stuff. unless you sized it wrong, which is easy with those silly numerical sizes

Neoprene/wool mix by Neil Barrett

Almost looks like a varsity, what with the nehru-style body (unless that's just the way it's being worn) and different-material ribbed arms. Very cool.

Damn I actually really like that
