i remember that one, from the sartorialist. i vaguely recall someone said at the time the jacket was dries, which seems plausible.

yeah i was doing some mental math today and realized lightweight jackets are practical for like two months out of the year. every other month i'd need a heavier jacket or, like you said, as few layers as possible to fight the DC humidity

I sart wearing my cotton and linen jackets come May

I just rediscovered this jacket from Rag&Bone, way back from 2008... It is actually slightly more fitted then this picture from Men's No-no:



On the rack, it looks like this, but slightly darker - wool with a touch (2%) Elastane. Easy to throw into the luggage as an extra spring jacket:

Yeah, Rag & Bone used to make some interesting blazer-esque jackets. From FW09:

Yeah I have a rag bone jacket that's like a micro herringbone, It's so nice but it's too small now, kinda sucks gonna have to sell it.

Oliver Spencer is a really chill guy. I've had a couple of whiskey's with him, since he is always in the showroom during market week in NYC. I actually have a belt from one of his early collections, called the "cadet" belt, if you want to look it up. The jackets have never fit me quite right - they are slightly too boxy through the body and a bit too wide in the shoulders, but they are nice for the price.

It's not my look really, but I like Oliver Spencer's stuff. I've checked out the sales they do at the showroom twice a year and the pieces are nicely made with hearty fabrics. The wools always seem particularly robust but nice, if that makes sense. Most of it is made in the UK. I can see the appeal.

im still really struggling to find something i like in a casual deconstructed unstructured type black blazer.. keep coming back to the Our Legacy 2b n technical fabric that tres bien shop has right now.. but I am so unsure as to if it will be slim enough.. tres bien costs me soo much to ship back..
