great pics hendrix.

Also iirc that suit with the stacking you mentioned above is ccp. The cut certainly looks like it and that guy is a poster on sz and wears ccp pretty consistently.

Not sold on the boots, but what do I know. Rest so good. I also find it pretty interesting how the retail on some of these blazers eclipses bespoke MC.

Hoping someone in here might be able to point me in the right direction and suggest some brands to look at. For a while now, I've been searching for a coat/blazer somewhat similar to what Parker posted in RFT today:

but cut boxier and longer (probably 27.5-29" or so), more akin to a jacket than a coat. I think I've gone through every page of size XXS/XS jackets on Yoox without being able to turn up anything, and at wits end. Any ideas?

Posted in grey suit w. stacking is TheAddict, I think?

******* love this thread. I have a couple SW blazers I wear all the time in the spring/summer/fall. I'll be back with more pictures that are not of me, but I will say that margiela and dries are my go-to for inspiration:

867HGQul.jpg

Dries, one of the only 3-button blazers that I have ever loved - and I love it to bits. Wear it all the time. Unlined cotton.

MMM. Wool, unlined, omega-shoulder

All MMM, shirt is CKC

I will forever regret hemming those pants

MMM Shawl collar wool/mohair DJ

MMM Cotton "travel blazer" - rough 'n tumble cotton, washer/dryer friendly; rumpled, oversized fit

Raf Simons, 2003 - wrinkled wool/cotton/linen (I think)

Raf Simons, 2009 (cotton, elastene)

Burberry, early 1960's (wool, lined, "hand-me-down" from my grandfather)

As you can probably tell, I tend to just wear them with jeans like I would a light jacket. I'm worried I'm going to have to sell all three margiela blazers, though - two are a bit tight and one might be just a bit too big. Generally, I reach for the striped dries whenever it's springtime and I'm feeling saucy, but this is definitely a look I like, so I'll probably just accumulate more as time goes on. I'd love to ape some of the Dries/Margiela suit-with-sneakers looks that Trill and Parker are so good at, too.

I like the oversized look when it's paired with loose trousers, like in the grey DB Dries suit Parker posted. I think Ervell does a great SW+D blazer/suit look too, but I'd be wary to try since I'm not really sure I have the body type for his pieces. Margiela works pretty well on me, but - and I've posted this recently - I'm interested in some of the softer, more Fok-ish Italian brands. I'll have to give some a try, at some point.

I have a Valentino dinner jacket (iirc, made by Corneliani) and a Costume National crepe dinner jacket that are nearly identical. I'm not a XXS though.

Did anyone see Macklemore on SNL? I thought his outfit was sick. Except for those army tassel things on his shoulders. If he ditched those, the outfit would look sick.

For those who didn't see it, he was wearing a red suit with a black leather t-shirt underneath.

Inspired by Synthese, I just picked up this FW11 piece from the Roman designer Fabio Quaranta, from Yoox. If it works out, I will call it my "who needs any bloody buttons, for realz" jacket:

There is actually a lot of his stuff on sale at Yoox right now, though, iirc, that is pretty much the only jacket from that collection that is not meant to be worn really boxy:

iirc, for the guys who want a CM approved maker for their SWD jackets, this one was made for the label by Caraceni. It's one of those small labels that slips under the radar, though some high profile stores like Dover Street Market pick it up.
