Has eBay come up with a new way to lie to us?

It used to be that if you clicked on a listing that was ended, there would be a small banner on the picture that read SOLD if the item had in fact sold, and ENDED if the item hadn't. Now all the banners read SOLD. This is true even for items that I saved months ago that used to read ENDED.

I have theories on why they did this, but I just wanted to confirm that others are seeing it as well...

Looks like they've gone back to differentiating between "Ended" and "Sold". Weird, but appreciated.

this is what I have learned about ebay - whatever you seem to think you see or normally do, it will change the next time you try again. Same browers, same clicks, different results. sometimes it shows you one thing, sometimes another. there are 84 different versions of the selling screen as near as I can tell as no two are the same.
