portland brunch culture has to be the worst. people happily wait 2+hrs for avg foods, in rain clutching coffee cups with both hands, while discussing the design flaws of the new city provided compost bins

I'm out in the desert (Joshua Tree) on Saturday having lunch at 2:00pm in a small funky cafe. A group of hipsters walks in and asks for brunch. The waiter says,"No brunch after 2pm". They moaned liked they had lost their best friend. They turned around and left rather than order lunch...

Sunday brunch. Girlfriend had poached eggs over brisket hash and hollandaise sauce, while I had the slightly more average meal in the back of eggs and breakfast sausage.
