I'm not familiar with this.

To my mind, "brunch" is just a late, lingering, expansive breakfast. The menu items are typically what one would exclusively associate with breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins and pastries, waffles, pancakes, french toast, etc.

Sarabeth's is the type of place that has really solid food and could be an enjoyable brunch experience if it weren't for the novelty of brunch among a certain demographic.

sunday mornings at EGG in Williamsburg is 60:40 caucasian to asian.... in my experience the earlier you go (before 8:30am) the more hipster parents with little hipster babies/toddlers show up. After 9am its straight out adult white/asian hipsters (even the food servers) onward.

what about waking up at 7am-9am and eating so much breakfast food that you're queasy and lethargic that you just sleep into the afternoon? from there you just go into an early dinner. isn't that brunch because there's overlap... and lack of an actual lunch....

edit: the AzNs will often have huge SLR lensed cameras and take pictures of their food in the morning.... there's nothing more irritating than listening to the caucasian hipsters calling their friends/family and bragging about the brunch they're eating and SLR camera shutters clicking in the background while trying to eat.
