What is the finest item of clothing you own?

Mine is a Zegna 3 button dual vent BLACK sports coat of an even silk/cashmere blend.  It has a beautiful sheen and interesting pattern to the fabric.  I know lot's of people don't like black but I have plenty of occasion to wear it on days where I plan to go out in the evening with a  solid grenadine tie, and odd trousers.

What is your best clothing item?

probably a beautifully made lanvin flannel sportcoat.

Tough call... probably a Luciano Barbera SC made by Attolini that I picked up on the B/S here

Loro Piana "Downtown" coat. Great coat, and oh so warm during the coldest weather.

Aero Long Half Belt leather jacket. Made in Scotland and will be a great jacket as long as I'm able to fit in it.

Brunello Cuncinelli Zip Cashmere Cardigan I thrifted. I had decent clothes before, now I have one actually finely made article of clothing.

Mine too but it could use a little waist suppression.

My finest is def low rent in this crowd, a Canadian made Lauren sport coat, Canali trousers, Ferragamo tie, Eagle shirtmakers, Cole-Haan shoes, Kenneth Cole belt, random vintage PS.

All but the shirt and belt were thrifted over the last year for about 100 plus about 60 in tailoring, the PS was from an ex gf who got it during a nannying gig with a scion of the Rockefellers, she said.

I should probably spend less on wine and cigars and more on clothes now that I think about it.

The collection of lingerie that random ladies have left at my home.

interesting that three of us (those that chose to respond with something about clothes they own and not their bodies or clothes stolen from women) have thrifted items that we condsider the best we own....

...better women than men, IMO...not that I'm making any implications about you.

The finest pieces of clothing that I own AND wear are bespoke suits from a tailor in my hometown.
