oiled leather sole upkeep: re-oil?

do any of you ever re-oil oiled soles like the double waterlocks from alden?

other websites mention oiling ordinary leather soles with neatsfoot or generic mink oil to increase longevity--do any of you do this? seems like it could be a good idea for waterpoofing...

yes - I condition the soles periodically - perhaps twice a year.

I use Dr. Martens dubbin on all my soles.

Man dubbin is expensive...or maybe I clicked on the wrong webpage.

You can also use sno seal.
