This is getting OT, but I do wonder how much you could really tell the difference if a $20, $50, $100, $200 and $400 shirt, all fitted properly, was on you...guess I am getting at is some of this being a brand whore, and this is by no means a term I am using pejoratively. Or a $200, $500, $1000, $2,500 suit. Although I dont want to admit to it, I turn my nose at a third-party camera lens which does 90% of what a Nikon lens does at 30-50% of the cost.
I don't know suits all that well, but I am pretty sure I can tell the difference between a 500 and a 1000 dollar suit. I'd probably have a harder time between the 1000 and the 2500 dollar suit.
If a shirt is properly fitted, just by appearance I think most would struggle to tell the difference between a 50 dollar and a 100 dollar shirt. But the difference becomes a lot clearer if you are touching it (especially so if you are wearing it).
