Simple and effective, if not somewhat controversial (people are afraid of plastics). When I take off my shoes, they go overhead on a shelf to air out and I put them away the next morning. For shoes without shoe horns, the box has a cedar block. Although not visible, each container has a vent cut out on each side near the lid, but I'm not sure if it's necessary.
Your method does keep dust away and makes shoes neat and stackable, but is it good for them? It's not so much a fear of plastic, but always hearing that leather needs to breathe. Is that not true? Or is the impact minimal?
My main closet. Suits top right and lower left behind door. Shirts bottom right. Trousers top left. Jeans and Chinos on shelves back top right. Ties back wall and on a number of slide out racks from shelves on right. Shoes as shown. (at 4 pair/shelf, you can do the math.) Some more are squirreled away out of view. I have a closet in the guest room for my odd jackets and overflow.

I don't know but putting my shoes on ground and putting them next to each other is getting in the way. I want to know what you guys do to keep shoes organized, if you guys wouldn't mind please upload some pictures! Thanks!
it is very difficult to walk if you do not put your shoes (with feet therein) on the ground and together.

Nice set up! Any specific rationale as to as the shoes are organized (e.g., brand, color, etc.)?

Kind of sorted by brand and color. Lobbs are together; Corthay are together; burgundy are grouped (most are EG); Black are together; ankle boots together; pectator on the small floor rack. Problem is I have to rearrange when a new shoe comes in.
