Indochino Suit help ::Please help::

Hi All,

Just recieved my first Indochino suit and shirt. Wondering if you fine folks could comment on the fit. Jacket sleeves are 3/4-1 inch too short(is there enough material built into these suits to let it out that much?). Not sure what to do about the 'wrinkling / bunching' on the suit sleeves? Overall I think the suit could be more shapely, but I am unsure on how to ask for this.

Please let me know what to ask indochino / my tailor to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm really sorry to say it, but nothing about this is good or salvageable. I feel for you here. I hope Their customer service Dept. takes good care of you.

Wow, comments like these make me cringe, no point in acting like asses.

From my, quite inexperienced, eyes I would say it looks a bit off;
- The sleeves are too short, take them to a seamstress/tailor and ask if they can take it out a little.
- The sleeve pitch is off, but the cost for such an alteration is too much to be justified.

Pants:
- 1-2 inches too long, have a seamstress tailor hem them.
- To short rise.

Shirt:
- Too big collar.
- A bit much fabric around the waist IMO, but this depends on your preferences.

What seems to be the worst here is your posture, and that is actually free to fix (unless you got back problems).

Of course, it will never be perfect, but you definently will look better than 99.9% of the rest.

Good comments, Christian. I second the posture comment - it would make most suits look bad. Another comment is around the waist of the coat: it seems a bit tight as there is substantial puckering around the button (it doesn't help the buttoning point may be a tad high...). The suit might be salvaged with the tweaks suggested here and a better, erect posture. It won't look like bespoke but then again you didn't pay bespoke price. wink.gif

Thanks for the criticism as well as helpful comments! I know that I'm not getting a bespoke suit here,I just need something for those special occasion, that fits me. I thought that indochino would be a better option then OTR.

Anyways Indochino can remake the suit if the alterations are beyond what a tailor can do (or $75).

I'm thinking this is what needs to be done(beyond standing up straight!):

Jacket:
-Let the stomach (and/or chest?) 0.5 inch to get rid of the wrinkles around the button
-Adjust the sleeve pitch to get rid of the winkles in the sleeve (how does one communicate this to indochino?)

-Lengthen sleeves 1 inch

I've heard of people asking for higher armholes with Indochino, would this help at all?

Pants:
-Hem them up an inch or so
-Other suggestions?

Shirt:
-Take the stomach/waist in a bit

-Collar seems about right (I was thinking it was tight, but it looks loose in the photos above)

Am I on the the right track here? Please let me know and thanks again for all your help.

it's not just posture, but your shoulders too that are causing problems.

What is causing this trouble? They slope too much? What should I ask for in the remake? Indicate that my shoulders slope?

Thanks.

I think the shirt collar might be too loose for you as there seems to be a lot of space between the collar and your neck. There seems to be fabric bunching on the sleeves. But these statements are from my inexperienced eyes, take it with a grain of salt. If nothing works out, try to return it.

lol....These pics are hilarious.

Jacket too short. Waist too tight. Sleeves too short. Shoulders too wide. All in all, besides the shoulders, the jacket is just too small. Pants too long.
