My sister saw Iggy in the 70's at the Grande Ballroom in detroit. during a song, he jumped out into the crowd. My sister finagled her way to where he was and he was in the middle of a circle having sex with some girl on the floor while the song continued.
She said the best show she ever saw-and she's seen a bunch-was the Stones and Stevie Wonder in '73.

My brother in law's first concert was Hendrix opening up for the MC5 in '67 or '68. His cousin was a member of the MC5-probably one of the most radical bands ever.

for me, i was lucky enough to see Miles Davis on his last tour. Kenny Garret played with him, can't remember who the other two guys were. I'm sure he's been better, but i'm glad I went.

I wanted to see Cat Stevens when they used to pat you down before the show for security reasons. Now, they pat him down.

Whenever I watch/listen to music like this, it makes me so upset that I never had the chance to see Richard Manuel in concert. Find me a version of "You Don't Know Me" that breaks your heart like this and I'll send you $50. Didn't think so!

Neil Young isn't dead, but I don't think I'm ever going to see him come through town again.

Had tickets to My Bloody Valentine in Chicago on my birthday in the first run of reunion shows - couldn't go, massive upper respiratory infection.

Had tickets when they came to Dallas a year later... massive upper respiratory infection.

Fuuuuuuu
