those SEF are terrible. the cropped ones look alright for the price, but if you can afford SLP it would be stupid to get the others. if anything you'll just end up spending more when you inevitably buy the SLP ones.

@neonrider i tried on the patchwork leather the other day. while it definitely isn't my style, you were right, the fit was perfect. and i don't want to let you down but I bought the non-sequin sunset teddy. i didn't think the embroidery was worth the extra 1000. when it comes in ill definitely upload the pics. i think that does me for the SS16 stuff. though i might grab some of the tees if/when they show up in the sales.

i really can't believe that no one is hooking up any of the other teddys. I was lucky enough to try on an early jungle print one when i was in the states a few weeks ago. fit was perfect, but i thought that the sunset was a little more iconic or something. and would stand out more in my wardrobe which is mostly dark colours anyways. also surprised that the jungle one isn't more hyped up.

@ohyehhh lets see some pics of the 48 if you've got a chance.

we're (probably) a week away from the end everyone.

One full size down! Its the biggest misconception people make on these high jods. Slp doesn't even list to do it online. But 100% size down 1 full

Just to add I wouldn't size down on the black leather version though as they fit the same as all black leather Wyatt boots in length.

Speaking of jodhpur designs, I'm wanting a pair of the jodhpur classiques these days - look great with a slightly cropped pair of jeans as the detail still shows. Hopefully they'll bring them back on the Hedi or Wyatt last at some stage.

Patchwork leather is amazing. Cool purchase.

Rattler, the jungle one is definitely underrated. It's probably my second favourite one, slightly behind the Dinosaur one. The sunset one is more striking though and also amazing. My personal favourite casual jacket from this collection though has to be the blue tracksuit style jacket with the leopard panel - too cool and looks surprisingly good on.

if you had cash for either, but not both, thoughts:

I sized down one full size. Suede is a lot softer and stretches more. I wear a 40 in the black leather and since leather is a lot harder its hard to get my foot into the shoe since the ankle is so slim. The suede versions in a 39 are actually a lot easier to put on for me.

Apropos the recent discussion of SLP boots:

I'm of the opinion that it's surprisingly difficult to find boots that do what the SLP chelsea, Hedi, and Wyatt models do so well: minimal, very sleek, and very easy to put together casually as well as dress up. This seemed odd to me before I got "into" SLP, because I've extensive experience with shoes (of the more menswear rather than "street" variety), and with all the European and English shoemakers out there, I figured someone else surely has comparable options.

Nope. At least not at the general European price-point of SLP boots. The US prices are sadly overblown and while I'm not sure why, I do hope they come down at some point.

Anyway: If Slimane leaves SLP, as is/was the rumor, do people think the price of these models will shoot up higher? Because at that point there *are some shoemakers--Corthay, Edward Green, Gaziano & Girling, etc.--whose lasts are as sleek.

Someone mentioned Buttero possibly making SLP shoes. This doesn't make sense to me; the styles are very different.

Buttero produced DH under Hedi. Not sure if they still do. I don't think they produce Saint Laurent though.

I'm still wondering who produces SLP boots. So far it's been a mystery.

I'm looking for a pair of washed blue or so heavily washed there's not too much blue, have any of you got a pair like his for sale, have photos, etc? I haven't gotten a new blue denim in months and see in missing something like that.

I feel like what's so special about these SLP boots is that they were designed in mind to work well with skinny jeans. I'm not sure those other luxury shoemakers (who make higher quality shoes by a far margin) would really work. One of the thing I noticed about the popular models is that they are balanced without being too angular or too round/soft to compliment long skinny legs in skinny jeans.

There's a lot of SeF bashing but they're honestly pretty great for the price. One time an SLP employee mistook my Sef jod's for SLP, so. Hedi jod's are definitely better but SeF is a decent alternative.

I picked these up recently. I highly recommend both pairs, great washes.
