Saint Laurent Paris - Official Thread. - Page 56

fwiw here is the classic bike in calf skin in a 48 to compare to the plonge lambskin 48

I thought fit was pretty similar. The plonge seemed to sit better on the shoulder.

Wish I couldve found a 46 in the plonge to see what that looked like. I just like the plonge more for the reasons some of you guys posted. Absence of that button pocket and the diagonal zip. Leather on both felt amazing though.

Took a chance on these beauties. Very happy, except that Barney's site had them with a black zipper which I would have preferred:

But either way I'm looking forward to putting them to good use.

What a shame they didn't use their own tagged zippers, which are a lot nicer shaped with the bend.... This looks kinda cheap imo :/ sorry

Yeah, that's a shame, I agree. But they're a unique-enough boot and the leather is beautiful.

And they'll go well with the SLP blue satin bomber that just came yesterday. So that's a win.

I think these ones with the silver zippers are nice because it blends in and doesn't distract (unlike the black zippers) with the overall look of the shoe.
Please post fit pic of the blue satin bomber worn with the boots. I like what Hedi is doing in Saint Laurent.

This skullada pin is sooo cool!!

These are the skinniest jeans I own so please forgive me (I'm working on it). smile.gif

FYI bought the jacket from Mr Porter and they do *not* include a branded YSL garment bag. On the other hand I saved $109 in tax by not getting it from YSL.com. Tough toss up but I'm going to have to live with it.

BTW would anybody suggest I get some sort of protector on the leather soles? I'm kind of new to the fancier boots and all. Thanks.

You look great!! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif You carry the Saint Laurent rocker-chic look really well and it helps to have a longer hairstyle. The jeans are fine, you look comfortable in them.
I'm not sure if you can add something over the leather soles of the boots because it will prevent them from breathing and might cause damage.

Thank you. Much appreciated.

I guess I'll take my chances with the boots/soles. Life is short.

Cheers!
