Hedi on the outs?
Kind of like the studded flipflops. Maybe once they hit discount I'll grab a pair.

They're not as distressed in person. More like this:

I'm really having difficulty choosing between the low and the mid. I'd buy both but as someone that never wears trainers, the last thing I want to do is have two pairs.

Very helpful. I'm more of a low guy, but feeling the mids for some reason.

Intense news about Hedi's potential departure. I wonder what those "creative differences" could be, if he has ostensible 100% control of the brand's direction from artistic, stores, photography, PR, branding, and even now the haute couture extension. Obviously, the parent company is profiting from their decision economically.

YSL PR department have denied the rumours. Obviously I hope he stays.

Good point. I was exaggerating, but I get the sense that he has some more license than other designers'. That he changed the name and was given the funds to redo the stores and packaging alone is a big ask from a financial standpoint.

You'd think there has to be some pressure to be in season, as rainbow is everywhere this season (or at least in the WSJ style section).

Despite being a huge fan, I would welcome his departure. Only if his superiors were indeed demanding any more control than what was agreed upon at Hedi's arrival, then his resignation is the only way in which he could remain true to his idea of the brand. Saint Laurent with concessions is no more than a knock off YSL t-shirt.

So if he does leave, good for him. And in a way good for us.

Also I want that leather Hedi's wearing on the cover of V.

yeah, wonder if its vintage or something from the next show.

Yeah that leather looks nice. Like something from DH days.

You're assuming he will move to another brand, remember why he even returned to Saint Laurent in the first place?
