@JAREDMINK666 - I recently sold a pair of SS15 suede Wyatts in the "nut" color, which matched the stock photo you included (very bottom photo), although they appear darker in stock photo due to the white backdrop.

See my album for pictures I took of the actual boots I sold: http://imgur.com/a/wV7bV

I am afraid i will end up with these....!!!

I swear these are the color they currently have at the store on rodeo...maybe i am tripping & will go back tomorrow but i am glad that 'nut' seems to be in fact, 'nut' by all accounts.  Ill order online...

does anyone know how to explain these? just the color grade of photo maybe? these are certainly not the tan 14s or the darker 13s or 15s...

I've been considering getting a pair of D02's and I'm unclear on the difference between one's made in Japan, like those found on sites like Mr. Porter, and those made in Italy, like the ones found directly on the ysl site. Anyone able to clarify on the difference, if there is a difference at all? Thanks.

Get Japan cause it sounds cooler for denim

My experience has been that Made In Italy is simply mass manufactured designs and washes based on Original Made in Japan Denim. A lot of it simply looks screen printed and the cuts are much more conservative. I Suggest going Made in Japan on anything as that is the original denim source that the MII stuff comes from and I feel the MIJ denim is much more substantial. I think it's been mentioned here but i've also heard that SLP has recently contracted a local US facility that will manufacture all denim goods. I have a feeling this is bad news as Japan has superior denim facilities with original loom sewing machines from Levis as opposed to US facilities that outsource Japanese denim to sew.

I will say, Be very weary of Rodeo mens and Beverly Center. While they're a flagship boutique, most boutiques are not actually owned by YSL. Rodeo Mens in particular is very loosely run (most of the original associates have moved on as higher up's or high profile womens client management) and the people working now have access to much older merchandise or whatever is laying around. They have sold many people old stock in new boxes, or old samples as a different color way many times. I think the viewpoint of most boutiques is to just get rid of whatever they have and make sure every customer buys something, even if it isn't what they were looking for. There's a reason why they have such a shitty return policy.

With that said, Buy what you personally like, not what you think other people will like or what hypbeasts or kanye might have worn. Don't be a sucker.

Scanner--Thank you for all of your advice & well said.  Have been wanting a pair of Wyatt's for so long it does become tempting to make concessions on certain color changes you were once steadfast on, etc.  I knew i wasn't losing my mind about these color differences and you certainly just confirmed that.  Will order from the YSL site and go from there. Lesson learned.

Here is a breakdown, I'm going by matching colour codes.

FW13 - OCHER (the original, extremely beautiful colour, IMO) - the one you posted in your runway shot, with exposed zip.

FW13 - NUT - dark and roughened up but with exposed zip.

--

FW14 - NUT - these are the ones I have - dark and roughened up suede, concealed zip. They match what is currently on the website:

http://www.ysl.com/gb/shop-product/men/shoes-boots-classic-wyatt-40-harness-boot-in-nut-suede_cod44739383wf.html#dept=shoes_men_

God knows what YSL would actually send out based on what you order from the web store, they seem to have  habit of using pictures that don't correspond to the actual item.

SS15/FW15 - NUT,... HOWEVER, the suede is slightly smoother grained, AND is lighter. This is despite it sharing same colour code as NUT from FW13/14.

---

So basically yes, the one you see in store and the one you see online are different, I guess the one you see in store actually looked like this:

https://www.tizianafausti.com/eng/product_man_fw20152016_saint+laurent_186998094_wyatt+boots+in+otterproof.

My personal preference in order of which boots I would go for is the order listed above.

WOW I could hug you for that breakdown...exactly what i needed.  Although I must say that i can't tell much of a difference from the link you posted from the YSL site and the tizianfausti site.  I want to say that the ones in the store are even LIGHTER.  Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but they seemed more like the color in this picture than either of the links you posted.  I was all set on buying on the YSL site but your insight on their webstore does not instill confidence.  Maybe finding a trusted pair from a seller on here would be the way to go. Please let me know your comments on the picture.  Truly appreciated.... Are these the same ones on the titian site with an over exposed flash shot or do they look even lighter to you? replicas? sigh...headed to the store tomorrow to have one last look so i can put this damn thing to rest.  Thank you all for your patience and expertise...

The picture above looks like the 'NUT' SS15/AW15 one to me, which is OK but obviously is not the same as on the web store where they are still displaying the AW14 ones. I believe the picture above is probably the same as on tizianafausti and its just lighting.

Btw here's an age old thread I look at from time to time from our esteemed member Kieran where he sold off a lot of his stuff - you can see multiple pictures of the original AW13 OCHER and one of the NUT - of course theres literally no hope of being able to source those now.

ugh thank you and you're going to kill me but i could have got the original nut FW13 on eBay a couple weeks ago for 700 $usd.  Check the pictures in the listing...the inside code of the boot in the auction matches the code and has the exposed zip.  They were well-worn but I'm still kicking myself for it now.  learn from your mistakes i suppose.

I got them at the flagship in midtown. They had the same pair on display still when I went in to get some fall stuff in August. There's a pic of mine quoted right above my post.

This color discussion explains why the cowboy boots color differs too. The color code is the same but the boots on ssense are the lighter shade.

Hi new here, got a pair of SLP raw indigo from lvr, tried the fit on and was good. Only really wore them lately and my friend pointed out that the back of my jeans were poorly stitched. I took an ass pic and as I saw my rear view with the jeans for the first time, I was shocked. The jeans were not even on each side. The back belt loop easily over and inch off centre making the centre stitch tilted. I'm embarrassed to wear them out no feeling insecure that ppl might think I'm donning replicas. LVR has told me it's built that way but I insisted its not. They are "investigating" now. YSL just tells me they applause for my disappointment. Any idea how I can resolve this?

You could have just shown us a picture of the denim laying down on the floor
