What is the difference between these two boots? Aren't they the same model but in different color?

Also I usually wear jeans with 13~14cm leg opening, do you think my jeans will be alright to cover the the ankle area of the boots? Haven't tried them on.. but they seem fit well at the ankle area with the strap to adjust it tight to my leg. Thank you !

Anyone find it really hard to choose between the jodphurs in tobacco -

700

and the Wyatts in chesnut?

700

They are both pretty similar once tucked into skinny jeans, but part of me says the Wyatts are cooler and more structured, whilst the other says the Jodphurs looks more expensive.

Also - have Wyatts been available in other shades of brown- other than nut?

If I had my druthers I would have the wyatts in tobacco. I don't care for the suede on the wyatts and I wish they offered that style in both types of suede.

The suede on the wyatts does look to be really durable, however. Ultimately, I like the higher heel as well.

I had some first gen Wyatt's in Ocher and they looked awesome once they started getting black stains bleeding into the leather. They look great beat up.

The nut doesn't look so luxurious to me, I think ochre is really the best shade - matches super nice with black, gray, and light jeans. I like the taupe tone of the tobacco but in bright daylight, they look very light... Too many options....

personally I prefer the lighter one over the tobaccos, looks good with both black jeans and light wash

I'm in the same boat, thinking of those same boots but also considering the Cowboy boot of this season. I'm just not sure about the cowboy boots longterm (style wise), and I don't really like the crop look when jeans ride up and show your socks.

i think the wyatts and jodhpurs (especially in those colors) offer vastly different looks. the wyatts are biker boots, and the jodhpurs aren't. so if you want a punkier look, get wyatts. if you want a more restrained look, get jodhpurs. that's why they're also made in lighter colors, to offer a more classic look.

i also don't think they look that similar under jeans at all. the wyatts have a big biker harness, the jodhpurs look very similar to a very sleek casual shoe.

like i said before, i wish they'd make wyatts in cigare/tobacco/etc. but after talking to sl about it, i don't think they will.

of course the way to do it properly is to get them all in every color :)

Any thoughts on The suede cowboy boots for this season in comparison to the normal boots?

the santiags are great, easily among the best boots hedi's ever designed.

i don't think people will get them right now though. you have to really commit to them. like the wyatts you can just wear half assedly and get away with (like in the pic above, no offense, the boots look good but the whole look is very norm core and tradly), under whatever, skinny, oversize, traditional, punky. but you can't get away with that kind of half-assery in the santiags. it's kind of all or nothing.

i'd bet they'll be a cult item that people desperately hunt down in a year or two though, just like og crash denim or L leathers.

I really like the original SS13 - SS14 cropped jodhpurs in the lighter beige suede - the cigare is a little darker, and while still nice, I just prefer the lighter colour (looked really nice against the gold buckle too). They're a very easy to wear casual shoe for day to day use, and look great when they get dirty.

I also had the harness ocher wyatts in ocher from AW13, but sold them and got the side zip instead, as harnesses aren't really me. I agree the ocher is a little nicer than the new colour, but both are pretty nice.

One of my favourite boots is the wyatt jodhpur in light beige suede, but I doubt I'll get an opportunity to purchase in the lighter colour now:

Agreed, the santiags are super-cool. I've only seen the pink as last time I was in London they were all that had arrived, but they still looked awesome. I'm hoping to get the plain side zip in black leather if it's available anywhere.

Anybody tried the breton tops from this season? I don't usually like wearing wide necklines as I feel a little exposed, but they look really cool, but need to see better pictures before ordering (can't really see the neck all that well from the angle of LVR's pictures).

hey keiran, i think i remember hearing that the jodhpurs will be re-released in the lighter color later this season. i could be wrong though!

there are some kind of production issues with the santiags which keep delaying most of them.

if you're ordering the new check shirts online (with the gold thread), be aware that they're the new "skinny fit". which is suuuuper skinny. i had to size up two, and even then it was small. my (size zero) gf could fit into the 39 and it didn't look huge on her. i'd be surprised if anyone can take their normal size. but maybe i just got super fat this winter :)
