No, you're a muscular guy (big drop) and you're going to look like a moron in your little tight blazer not some rock god. If you're merely asking if you can fit it well then, yeah, go with your shoulders and wear a 52. Don't forget SLP is built for columnar dudes (slim but with a small drop, like an "I") so they cut isn't for you, you'd be better off in something like Dolce and they make those kind of dinner jackets, maybe Lanvin with some alterations would also be more forgiving.

well said. He can fit into the jacket but it will not look good.

Some of Lanvin Fully Canvassed Dinner Jackets fits are slim which wider shoulders compare to their other blazers.

Looks like Hedi Slimane is in talks to take over as creative director of Gucci. I can't wait to see how many people drop off of Saint Laurent when that happens lol
http://pagesix.com/2014/12/15/gucci...director/?_ga=1.65338286.189629804.1412794995 I also realize that if he does take over Gucci, it might only be for womenswear and he could still be doing work at YSL, though I doubt that. Since Gucci is the parent company I'm willing to bet they'd rather the umbrella brand go under a major revision under his direction since SLP is already sort of on autopilot and he can have someone else or a team continue what he started.

Gucci is very LA...

They really do need a revamp, more so than YSL did, IMO, although Hedi obviously had a history with the YSL house.

I very much doubt it. Can't see Kering letting him run Gucci from LA, where I believe he is very well settled. Also there's only so many customers for Slimane's stuff to go around (he tends to be pretty polarising). Moving him to Gucci will just reduce sales at Saint Laurent I'd imagine.

I've found this Made in France YSL jacket. Can someone tell me if it's of good quality:

Gucci has much more to gain than Saint Laurent has to lose.

I appreciate that, but it's not really Kering's decision to make anyway, and I really can't imagine Slimane being too keen. I could be wrong though.

Money talks.

If Kering wants Hedi at Gucci, Hedi is going to Gucci.

I'm not so sure. He's turned down very lucrative offers in the past because they were not a good fit for him. For him to move at this stage rather than stay and build on the success he's had so far would be a bad decision on both of Kering and Slimane's part in my opinion.

He turned down lucrative offers in the past because he wasn't interested in being a fashion designer. The only reason he went ahead with Saint Laurent is Kering agreed to let him re-brand the label his way, do things his way, and oversee and direct every aspect of marketing to benefit his photography career which is all he wants to do in the first place. Most official outside editorials or magazines are not even allowed to use any other designers or brands with SLP, It has to be ALL SLP and some pieces are already pre-selected for the stylists. Some outside editorials aren't even allowed to publish anything without his approval and further he has been working even more as a photographer because he is the one that shoots all official and most outside official editorials. That said, I'm sure Kering can now do as they please with him and move him around to any part of the company, but he'll ultimately still do what he wants which is Photography and Creative Direction. I'm sure this also answers all the haters about why most of his work with SLP has simply been remixed, tailored mash-ups and not the original unique vision he once had with Dior Homme.

could someone help me with sizing for the SL / 14H high tops? Usually wear 41 mmm/ 40 cp. I'm thinking I would be 40.5/41, but not sure. Thanks.
