Saint Laurent Paris - Official Thread. - Page 133

Did anyone read the SLP piece in the WSJ today? The theme of the article was about how Hedi has returned the house to its roots, but in a specific way, not Haute Couture, but rather RTW and the Rive Gauche line. Instead of Morocco, we're talking the new epicenter being LA. Interesting piece. Since it's the journal, they included sales figures, as one might expect the numbers quoted were high, and indicated a ~25% increase in yearly revenues each year since he's been at the house, which is a contrast to the 1-2% increases of other large brands.

Is it possible that you could post the article on here? I don't have a WSJ subscription, and don't really want to get one for a single article.

Generally frowned upon practice to direct paste entire articles whether behind paywalls or not. FWIW I don't have access to it to link you privately.

From my limited experience btw, both older DH and current DH seem to be better than a lot of SLP I've handled or seen.

Post the title of the article, people might be able to google it themselves.

There was also this article from a few days ago talking about the same subject and probably covers the same topic as that one: http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/08/18/commercialization-of-high-fashion-hedi-slimane-ysl-nicolas-ghesquiere-louis-vuitton/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=1

The title of the wsj article is, "Saint Laurent Bets on Rock-Star Style". If you google that and click on the first news link you circumvent the pay wall.

For those who still can't get through the pay wall, here's the video at the very least: http://live.wsj.com/video/saint-laurent-moves-global-flagship-to-los-angeles/7B228ADF-50BB-436B-85B1-C93640B81125.html

Sizing question for the experts...

For the leather cropped jodhpur should I take the same size as the classic chelsea boots?

Thanks for any help.

Hi guys,

Can I get a price check on a navy suit jacket in size 44, basically brand new, virgin wool made in italy etc.

Was given it and it doesn't fit...how much should I be asking for it?

Thanks
