For Men, the boutiques are a ghost town right now. Went a few days ago and they hardly have anything in stock. Probably another week or two before new stuff comes in.

in nyc there are new items in stock, but they're not on the floor yet. mostly tops- a couple coats, a couple shirts, a sweater or two and some suiting.  no jeans to be seen as of yet.

Regarding the NYC store - does anyone know when they will be receiving the FW14 Biker Jeans?

Has anyone seen the skate shoes on sale? Specifically the blood luster, pina collada, suede ones?

I pre-ordered the AW14 biker jeans (as I've previously mentioned) from ysl.com but I'm pretty miffed - originally it said shipping date 15/06/2014, then it changed to 15/07/2014 and now its 15/08/2014 !!!

Anyway, I am pretty worried about the sizing - are the jeans true to size? e.g. if I'm size 30 in Balmain with 2% elastane, will I fit size 30 in the biker jeans - which are also with 2% elastane? The new 15.5 cm hem is what is worrying me as my slimmest Balmains are 16cm.

Can anyone advise? I think if I go into a boutique and try any 15.5cm cut jeans they have currently in size 30 this will be the best indicator right? (I've never had or tried anything on from SLP).

Thanks in advance.

Also what do people think of these white high tops?

I should get them Monday - the 30% off made it tempting and they should go well with the biker jeans (and a lot of my other jeans, being white).

Picked up some slim waxed jeans and a striped shirt. I'm getting fat. Damn IPA.

I own the 16.5cm falls '13 and they fit tts...tight at first but tts after good use. For the new ones, they are 15.5cm depending on the actual size you get. That being said, unless you are a toothpick, get a size up. Even though it's 15.5 it doesn't fit like normal 15.5 MIJ denims since they have leather at the knee which makes it tighter and less stretchable (though it stretches a little overtime).

In contrast, I pre-ordered something from YSL.com too with expected ship date of June 15 and it shipped out around June 1st and received it a few days later.

I would really suggest just trying on a 15.5cm in the store if you have access to it and go by that, I mean you really can't go wrong and at least you'll the fit for future reference. You also can't compare how one brands jean fit to the other just based on the leg opening, even Balmains sizing on the same 16cm jean varies from season to season.

what did you order?

would like a certain shirt in the next week or so but dont want to order if they might be in the stores before (i visited today and they had a few items out...could have asked what else but was already taking up enough of their time).

@ryansmith

thanks for recommending Leather Spa - they did a perfect job. from what I'd read I was expecting ~$70 but it ended up being $34. they even rushed it for me (took 2 days).

I gotta agree with RFX, This season jeans fit much much differently. Not as much stacking/inseam, much more fitted to sit on waist. I actually like the new cuts a lot more. 17cm are a little roomier then previously.

Talked to the SA at the Rodeo store today. Apparently, the old YSL store will only house the womens collection, and the current store will be all mens. He also said that L.A. will have a larger SLP stock than any other city in the world. Chill.
