A new video of mine about boots leather and suede care and what do to when you take some heavy rain while wearing them, and when/why you should apply vibram, rubber topies or heel taps to protect their soles - especially since I always see people asking for this stuff here in the group. I hope y'all enjoy, feedback, likes and subscribes are appreciated.

Thanks man! I just do the "clean and cream" process when the upper doesn't look good to me or when I want them shiny. I bought shoe trees from amazon, unfortunately i don't remember the brand and I threw away their box.

Strange how the high jodhpur grew in popularity over time to become such an internet sensation, when it was pretty much completely overlooked when it was released with the Wyatt heel for AW 2013 (in favour of the harness version of the Wyatt - a style that I personally don't like).

In the photos posted where the jeans / trousers cover the detail, they look great, but then there's little difference between a Chelsea or side zip when worn like that. I'm not sure why, maybe because my feet are big, but a D02 won't stay down over the strap like that on me. The perfect height for the strap to be for me would be at about the same height as it was on the SS 14 Duckies jodhpur boots, which look fantastic on me with the jeans hitting above the strap. Maybe the fact that it's a less chunky shaped boot helps too. I think Slann has a photo of himself where these look great.

One style I'd like to see offered again is the double buckle, preferably on the London or Seville last, or something similar. So nice, but 85 mm heel was too much for me:

Just came back from London actually. I didn't buy anything, but was very impressed by the black velvet 2 button notch lapel blazers. I didn't expect to like the velvet, but was really impressed with how it looked. I'm very tempted, but I'm just a bit concerned about durability, as some of the velvet items on the rack were already looking a bit worse for wear with marks and dust. I'm pretty sure somebody here has the black velvet two button as I remember a photo from years ago with it worn with the original 2013 Blake cropped jodhpurs. I'll probably just get it anyway, but would like to hear feedback if possible.

I also really liked both the black and the brown python Devon boots - need to decide which of the two I'm going to go with as soon as possible before they sell out.

I tried the faux fur collar single breasted overcoat while I was there too. I take a 50 in blazers, but was able to fit a 44 in that, so I don't know how they'll possibly sell the 52s etc. I quite liked the boxy shape combined with skinny jeans, but wasn't particularly impressed overall.

that is insane about you fitting a 44 when normally around a 50

all items i've tried have fitted at least a size big so far (jackets)

which is shit when you're a small size

Yeah that particular one is ridiculously big as the 44 wasn't even that snug. I tend to be a 48 in coats usually as most have come up big since AW 13, but I take 50 in blazers, and L in knitwear, t-shirts and hoodies.

Black is not a very good color for velvet for those reasons you mentioned. I don't remember if there are other colors (I don't think so) but maroon, blue and bottle green are ideal colors for velvet. Nice for the cooler weather and dressy events.

I'm planning to pick up some sunglasses before things start changing. I almost never wear them, but I don't want to regret not getting any down the line. I'm fairly decided on the Bold 2 in havana as they've looked the best on me of all the styles I've tried, but I would be open to other suggestions that I may not have seen. The sunglasses aren't something I've really seen discussed much here. Here's a picture of the bold on a woman, haven't seen any decent pictures on men, but it's still possible to get the idea:

For the UK, TK Maxx had SL sunglasses in a few months ago at like £69 i think, so always worth checking.

Just get some from nordstrom man. They are great and do its job. This topic been asked on the forum for 3 years straight. End of day, all you want is cedar shoetree that didn't cost dirt cheap. Allen has some. But I personally love nordstrom, and I believe they might even contract with allen, which many people love.

I have 10+ pairs of nordstrom ones and they are great. I even have two I'm waiting to open, brand new.

For 20 bucks unbeatable tbh. Thats my two cents.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

MrPorter UK has suede Jodhpur's in a color called 'cognac.' See link: https://www.mrporter.com/en-gb/mens/saint_laurent/suede-jodhpur-boots/730551?ppv=2

Is this the same color as 'cigar' from the main YSL site: http://www.ysl.com/us/shop-product/men/shoes-boots-wyatt-30-jodhpur-boot-in-cigar-suede_cod44930644op.html#section=men_shoes_boots

Thank you

I'm itching for a pair of classic 11 aviators with black lens and black rims. I also want a pair of bold black acetic sunglasses.
