quick question,

http://www.ysl.com/us/shop-product/men/ready-to-wear-denim-pants-original-low-waisted-skinny-jean-in-medium-blue-80-s-denim_cod36809916bw.html#section=men_rtw

are the honeycombs behind the knee really that pronounced? or is the contrast/filter amped up on the pics to make them stand out more?

just how accurate are the colours/washes in the pics on the ysl website to the actual in hand product?

thanks everyone.

While I can't specifically speak to that pair, in my experience, yes, they definitely filter the pictures to better distinguish the wash. They usually appear much subtler in person, which is why it's nice to be able to request pics from this forum prior to purchasing. Barring that, I usually compare them to pics from other sites (Porter, LVR, and the like).

Anyone able to proxy from Sloane Street? It's apparently the only location with my size in stock, and I'd imagine I can't have them ship to the US? If anyone's willing, pm me to discuss fee and logistics.

@604skyline Happy to help!

To anyone who's interested, there's a new La Femme album coming out tomorrow, called Mystère.

Already got it, you sure its not already released?...

Edit: the web version is apparently already out, really good as expected

Really wish they did the Wyatt 30/40 in the red velour and the various python embossed colours they released the Devon boot in. Stopped by YSL and handled them for the first time today and it's no wonder they aren't selling well--they flat out suck. Too long, too point, too small of a heel. I'd entertain the idea of purchasing a pair at 70%, but even then I'd most likely pass.

Just seen @OakGhost pics on insta. Those black velvet wyatts look insane!! Be really interesting to see how they wear in over time.

Yeah those black velvets look so beautiful. Maybe some nanoprotector is necessarily for easy maintenance. I've seen that crazy video before but have been scared using it on my calf leather shoes. Anyone have experience on protector sprays?

@thorns

I've used Liquiproof on my suede shoes. Spray on, gentle brush and leave. Scared when the suede darkens to start but dries the same. That being said it struggled with suede with a longer nap but did shorter haired suede amazingly.

Went for liquiproof as when looking it was the only 'apply once' spray. All the other needed to be keep topped up.

And it's held up?

Yeah as far as I've been concerned. I've not been kicking puddle or anything but any small drops have just brushed straight off.

@mwn11 You haven't emptied a bottle of wine on them lol

@Nimzerz Yeah, I think the web version dropped at midnight or something, and the physical version is out today. I'm really liking it so far. Great album.

Would love to see how the velvet/velour boots will look after a bit of wear.. Can imagine they will get fucked fast in bad weather
