Unrelated: I'm in Paris for a few days and want to do a bit of shopping and could use some rec's on the best SL stores to hit as time is a bit limited

Just go to the one in Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The one on Place Saint-Sulpice is ok too but you'll prefer the former.

What was sizing advice on the Devon Chelseas -- TTS?

Some dude was selling these on a different forum but the price was suspicious.

Are these legit ?

No. The middle pair is legit possibly the chelseas. They're pictures of fakes.

If you don't get the one that your heart desires then you'll likely almost always regret it

Made too mistakes in the past trying too settle for a substitute. Always end up buying the thing i originally wanted in the first place, expensive mistakes...

Just save up for something if you want it as you will only end up getting it anyway.

i bought the black python devons and ended up returning it because the shape is too similar to my flame duckie boots from fw14.  also i am not too keen on the sole.

that said, i was not aware of YSL's no refund policy and got issued store credit instead.  if anyone wants a $1300 gift card for a discount then lmk.

i'd actually prefer the stitching here than the western detailing they did on the production model.

I think they added more seams in order to lower production costs. I agree with you, it looked better in the show. Much sleeker. I don't find the Devon last particularly well-suited to western-inspired detailing. They're too subtle and dressy.

there's no seams on the retail versions (i think would be better with)

the two above are probably different versions (not the same but with changes made during production)

Makes sense that there wouldn't be any additional seams for faux python/stamped leather unless they really want to give the impression of them being real python, down to seaming the leather to cut cost. smile.gif

black ones look nice in person (as if could be real)
brown ones and gold ones look and feel cheap / fake

Thanks for the info! I just left Paris a few hours ago and ended up going to the one at Galeries Lafayette. I didn't have much on my radar but ended up walking out with a wallet (the one with the money clip) and a pair of light grey D02's -- I already grabbed my suede chain wyatts in London along with some calf Chelseas 😳
