I'm almost 100% convinced that Wyatt harness boots only look good if you either have A) small feet or B) big(ger) legs. Every time I see mine from the front I feel like they make my feet look gigantic baldy%5B1%5D.gif

In the future make 2 orders. Under 800 you don't get charged. Ssense is free shipping anyway

Ssense should be free tax and shipping. Never had to do anything but just checkout. What country you live?

I never have had to pay anything myself but I never ordered anything over 800 since they started shipping with dhl. My guess is you will get charged customs if it's over 800 and delivered by dhl

OMG...what country are you at? Cause I live in NY, USA and I plan to order an expensive item from them and I really don't want that kinda surprise. You got charged 22%VAT. SMH.

That's ridiculous. I don't mean to be nosy but may I know what you ordered? Because I plan to order a leather jacket from them. I know that there are different % of vat for different categories. I believe they charge a lot more duty on exotic leather products. And the duty is lot more on bags too.

2 pairs of denim. And all I know is if it's above $800 there will be an import tax. Not sure how they calculate it though

That's very disappointing. I called DHL and I was told that I will only be charged maximum 7% tax for the leather jacket+Some change(not more than $50)for other services. I guess not😖 Thanks for posting your experience man. Cheers.

Via Ssense:

Quote:

International duties and taxes are determined by the shipping address entered at checkout. If taxes and duties are included in the price of your order this will be mentioned at checkout.

Alternatively, your order may not include taxes and duties. This means your parcel may incur customs duties and taxes by your local customs office. Please consult your local customs agency for more information. If applicable, you will be required to pay such fees upon receiving your order.

I always assumed Ssense's pricing was inclusive of duties, and I've definitely received orders over $800 (even before the limit was increased) without any extra fees. I'd maybe contact them just to see if there's anything they can do (probably not, but it's worth a shot), especially since it seems atypical that you'd get charged. It also seems worth knowing for future reference.
