I just use generic shoe trees from Bexley. They don't fit perfectly—none will—but these fill out the shoe decently and give it some structure. You can use paper to fill out the rest of the shoe if you wish. In my thinking, even an imperfect pair of shoe trees is better than none at all.

As for polishing, I play it by eye. Depends on how neat you want them looking and how often you wear them. I use some mink oil renovator on mine every few wears to keep the leather soft.

I just use generic trees from Timpson. as long as it stretches the sole back out and fills up the boot your good. it's not complicated. a good polish will make them look as good as new. I use a leather conditioner once in a blue moon too. there's something therapeutic about taking care of a good pair of boots.

Any shoe trees will be fine, really. I usually only put the toe part in anyways.

In terms of conditioning your boots, less really is more. Conditioning once per season is really all the leather needs. I just wait until the leather feels a bit dryer than usual and I use some lexol.

I've strayed today from SLP. For the first time I picked up some Gucci shorts (it's finally hot here in PA)...I can see myself losing interest post Hedi. wink.gif

I use boot trees by Woodlore because they take in account the instep in some of the boots.
For leather boots, I'll hit them up with some Saphir Renovateur when needed and a very very light coat of polish.

NOOOOO. I don't think your the first to stray to Gucci, and fuck it after hedi. but ill be committed to the look, as it was how I always dressed anyways.

my girl is feeling Gucci too, so I imagine ill start dropping some money in there. and while I like what michelle is doing, it's not at all for me, and even if the odd piece is cool, I think it would be tough to work it in to my predominately SLP wardrobe.

I'd be interested in what dudes like neonrider, Kieran and oakghost plan to do post hedi.

Matches has some of the new season stuff as coming soon. Liking what I'm seeing so far and can't beat their prices

thanks for that man. I should say I tried on the musical note print shirt the other day at harrods in my normal size 38 and it was super tight through the arms and slim in the body. so much so that I had to size up.

hopefully that means the denim etc. will be similar.

Denim looks really nice from the pics. Will get the black rips.

Denim on matchesfashion preview looks very skinny, thank god. Also suede jodhpurs with 40mm heel are back, this time with western strap. As for Gucci, quality on majority of their stuff always been better than SLP one, especially shirts; but please, the designer name is Michele, he's Italian, not Michelle lol

Some really nice pieces on Matches, but those boots in my opinion are hideous.

I'm feeling all of the shirts, especially the cards one.

Seconded for the Bexley shoe trees.

They pretty cheap and are solid.

Paying 60quid each for a pair at Church's just isn't worth it.

I think I picked up 5/6 pairs for 80euro
