@echau what makes you like the calf more than the lamb?
It just feels more substantial. Calf does take more time to break in though, so I guess there are some disadvantages. Just a personal preference. Either way, beautiful jackets!

the l17 they have now is aged mutton leather. which is all the luxury of lamb, but as durable as calf. i bought it because my l01 was too delicate to wear all the time. plus @neonrider convinced me to get it as a beater.

L17 as a beater?! What is this life. Let me in.

really random question

but has anyone experienced wearing their shoes to the point where the gold saint laurent paris words on the insole disappears?

doesn't even take long

I think these are my favorite jeans this season:

Yeah the single rip D02's are mine as well.. Not the D10. All the other stonewash distressed D10 & D02's fit very weird on me.. They are like tight and cropped, whereas the single rip D02 are slim with a longer inseam and the wash in person is a bit more unique.. almost reminded me of Dior Jakes or a lighter wash of Under My Car.

I'm pretty sure boutiques got a restock of some 16ss items, the dino sweater being one of them.

I'd imagine we'll be seeing regular restocks of the dinosaur sweater for several seasons to come, just like with the blood luster t-shirt.

I was at the 57th store yesterday, too, and they have a bevy of XS/44 items, including some pre fall. I picked up the charcoal jacket with white specks. Some of the new western shirts look great, and fit a little slimmer than the oversized phase from the past couple seasons. Sweaters look like a good mix between substantial/beefy, yet still fitted and trim.

I'm curious: if the label reverts back to YSL-branding, as seemed to be implied in the interview posted a while back, would that not also in effect make all Saint Laurent Paris-tagged items 'unsellable', ie. recalled and retagged, or marked down? Similar to when Hedi first took over. Of course they could also operate with both brand names registered, though that would dilute their standing somewhat.

@SirGrotius I've been eyeing that jacket as well. I'm looking to pick up a versatile blazer this season, since I don't own much of their tailoring, aside from my Le Smoking.

Sorry for the basic question in advance. Is it a simple tailoring job to make a button down shirt slimmer throughout the body? I've got the polka dot one but it's a size too big.

I believe adding darts to the back is a fairly simple job, if the body is the only issue. It may not be quite as perfect as taking a size down, but a decent tailor should be able to make it more wearable.
