2nd time in 2 days an idiot has asked for that shirt with no mention of size.
Ignore them and they will go away.

Will do from now on lol. Only cause i noticed it for sale this morn.

Not a clue retail. If you want it buy it regardless of what it cost originally. You're unlikely to find one in a shop anywhere they're 2 years old.

a lot of permanent shit just dropped on porter today, the classic black and white teddy sold out immediately wow shit is getting real

@echau all the blue destroyed I've seen hand an ugly (imo) yellow undertone and the distressing looks even less natural. I haven't even tried em. I for sure think the single rip knee is second nicest to the patch for ss. I was hoping there would be better option to stock up since Heidi's out..hopefully FW

@OakGhost, so nowhere close to:

Mr.Porter:

I'm afraid of them looking like this:

@needhelp123 I noticed that too. In all fairness though, they were never sold out of most of those items, they just updated the product pages, and that teddy is back in stock now, at least on the EU site. Plus they had the virgin wool one—which is the one I recently bought—all along for €100 less than the newer season one, which has a greater percentage of polyamide in the composition. The leathers seem to be going fast though.

I also noticed they raised the price of a few items, like the cashmere Marinière sweater, which is now €100 more. I know they raise prices every year or so, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were also anticipating the rush to pick up permanent collection pieces before Hedi leaves, hence this new stock.

What made you decide to get one over the other (virgin wool vs the one with more polyamide) - i.e. the virgin wool is more substantial and less summery I guess, but seems sturdier to me. You going to wear it in summer as well?

I'll probably use it more as a spring/fall piece. If you wear it with just a t-shirt, I think you can get away with wearing it through spring. Even with the lighter wool, it's still a black wool jacket, meaning it's not exactly an ideal summer layer. As a rule, I tend to go for pieces with a higher concentration of natural fibers, so that also played a part in my decision.

Have you handled both? Which do you prefer? I've only tried the virgin wool, but I'm pretty happy with it.

I just saw an amazing pair of washed, 100% cotton D10 jeans with both knees blown out - was very impressed.  Apparently, they have come into the boutiques-only in the past couple of weeks.  If anyone's near a shop, I'd recommend taking a look - best 'distressing at the knees' there's been since the iconic fw13 version but a completely different wash.

@echauI have a pair of this from ss16 that i purchased recently. blowouts does look 90% similar to the picture on ysl but lighter and with a yellow undertone (not as ugly as the porter picture).

i can see why @OakGhost think it's ugly, but then i actually prefer my blue destroyed to be lighter and have a dirty wash which the yellow undertone does it pretty well... but i do like that color on the fw 15 destroyed...if only they can combine the blowouts from this season to the color of fw15 destroyed man lol

if you want a picture pm me

@echau

I got a pair from saks and they looked the same as their pictures but I ended up returning them anyway

Also got a denim jacket for 40% off but don't like how the sleeves fit so that is going back too.

@PaulASmith

Want to see pics of these blowouts

Since the rumors of Hedi's departure started to break months ago I've been meaning to collect a lot of PC items but I've reverted back to buying my favorite pieces from FW14 instead. I bought the stud biker a couple weeks ago and now the red teddy. I know it's probably a basic/boring piece for you guys but I love it. Fits so well too! I think I'm going to pair it with the leopard or silver chelseas from FW16.

They're cool if you can pull em off.. Sadly I haven't come across a pair that look as good as the ones on the site.
