i just had the dudes at Sloane street pin them--and I made it clear that I didn't want them skin tight at the ankle--and send them to their guy. as far as im concerned they turned out perfect. I did measure my FW13 og's (that ive had repaired and dyed etc.) for the length, because I didn't want these new ones as cropped.

im hoping the denim offering next season is good too. but from the show I still can't tell, other than a pair of the gold boots and a waist coat, what will be the things ill buy. I really need a non-biker leather, now that I have both the L01 and L17, to wear at work. saw a dude in Marylebone last weekend in one of the old dior ones, and got me thinking I ought to take the plunge on ebay. the palladium show leathers were all a bit much for me with the guitar shapes etc. maybe the production pieces will be more of what I'm looking for.

@SirGrotius which dior pieces, other than the 17cm jeans, are you continuing to buy that are hedi-like? I was in dior the other day, and other than the bee, nothing resembled hedi to me. interested in what you have to say.

hey guys quick question....

so Saks has a decent sale, get $100 off SLP jeans basically....and im thinking of picking up the black "stretch" jeans

I have two pairs of the 2013fw black raws in a 28, fits like a glove, albeit a bit tight, whereas the 2015 raw in 28 fits perfectly at the waist and all around actually, no complaints....and i've never owned the black "stretch" versions...

does anyone have experience with the stretch blacks? this is with 98% cotton, 2% elastane? I am also a 28 in the newer black raw and also the fw14 destoryed which is also a 98% cotton 2% elastane.....

i guess my main issue is the weight of the denim, the feel, and how it "wears" in terms of color/discoloration etc

any help is much appreciated, thank you

The classic skinny suit (with the tapered waist) is an Hedi design. It's awesome and fully canvased. Occasionally I'll pick up a slim tie and the dress shirts, some of which are Hedi era cuts IIRC.

The other distinction is the scar details on most of the knitwear, etc, and these I suppose have strayed somewhat, but generally the cashmere v- and crew necks are staples. Finally I have a slim blue blazer, that is super skinny with the tiny lapels. It's pretty amazing mostly because the arms are cut so lean and the armholes are high.

I'm pretty boring though, so don't look at many items with floral or whatever new design KVA is selling. Basically if it's clean and simple I usually gravitate toward it. There is a lot less black now although the new show had the blue/red 90s thing going on so we'll see for F/W.

DH knitwear >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SLP knitwear. Not even close.

@dieseltheory I have these http://www.ysl.com/gb/shop-product/men/ready-to-wear-denim-trousers-original-mid-waisted-skinny-jean-in-vintage-black-raw-stretch-denim_cod36681166kd.html#section=men_rtw

As far as the weight of the denim, I don't know how to describe it other than it being a good thickness and weight. It really does have some of the raw denim attributes, and a few of the stretch attributes. Of course, it takes a little breaking in for it to feel comfortable, but once it does, the jeans feel really nice. Granted, I've only had the jeans for about two months, so I also can't say too much about how they wear yet.

If anyone's interested in this in gray, charcoal or black (46 48 and 50 depending on the color) for cheap let me know.

I have one myself and it's nice enough.

thanks mate, I ended up calling my SA at the rodeo location and she told me that I should look inside my black trash denim (which I havent worn since September last year and am selling if anyone is intersted)! which I did and it is the same, she said that the "black stretch" denim and "black raw denim" are basically made of the same material etc, so they are essentially the same!?

@dieseltheory those look exactly like the ones I have. I've got no complaints so far, I wear them a ton, so I hope you'll like your pair just as much.

What's everyone's thoughts on the current season trash denim? I think they look great on ysl.com, but I've seen other real life pics that make them look underwhelming.

Bought the fw13 leather pants off of another member here, absolutely love them, few fit pics. Wish I had a couple of inches longer in the legs. Do you guys think they pair well with the tan ss16 jodhpurs? I'm not so sure. The other alternative is I buy the ss16 tan wyatts once they hit the stores again. My feeling is wyatts with the higher heel and strap goes more with the rock/grungey look when combined with the pants, but I'd be happy to not spend that money if they look good enough with jods.

Did you get rid of your other pairs of leather bikers? I was glancing at the gallery of pics in this thread from the beginning and saw them.

Can someone who has the raw hem jeans please post a close up pic of the hem? I'd like to see it in detail. Cheers

By any chance, do you remember or know how much it retailed for?
