Last sale post from me, promise. I have a basically new pair of Hedi 30 jodhpurs from this season in size 42. Hit me up if you're interested. Worn once and unable to return.

Looks outstanding. Love the jeans and jacket especially, okay, and the frayed shirt.

Since we're on the topic of ss16 denim, I have a pair of the lightwash patched knees d02s and a pair of black raws. I want a darker blue. Should I get the double knee slits or single knee one?

Hypebeast: Is Hedi Slimane Finding Investors for His Own Brand?

Quote:
Hedi Slimane was recently spotted at the Mayhoola for Investments office in Doha, Qatar, with many speculating that the designer is looking for investments to fund his own brand. The Qatari-based fund is reportedly also looking to expand its portfolio of fashion and luxury brands. It already controls Valentino and Italian menswear brand Pal Zileri, along with a stake in accessories label Anya Hindmarch. Slimane first discussed the possibility of launching his own eponymous brand after he resigned from YSL in 2000, eventually signing on to Dior and founding Dior Homme. What do you think about a possible Hedi Slimane brand?

I hope it's true. I don't want to have to wait years again for Hedi's return.

While I do like the idea of Hedi transforming the heritage design houses—especially given the massive resources that these companies have at their disposal, including established production facilities/contracts and ateliers—it would also be nice to see him not have to constantly fight for creative control. I expect it would still take a few years to get a new label running though.

it took at least a year from his appointment at ysl to get to slp didn't it? starting his own label would definitely take longer than this. to my mind this sounds more exciting than going to chanel. though there is nothing stopping him doing both. surprised that this news has come so fast. it's as if he doesn't want a break.

his emphasis on semiotics is interesting though. starting from scratch means that he wouldn't have the historical references to play with. I wonder what effect this would have on his work? or would he begin by referring to his own past work - something he did at the palladium. either way I expect gold boots.

Solo hedi brand would be worth the wait for sure. Here are a few quick recents...rea,ly love the simplicity of the older patch knee with the Santiags. Was also killing time yesterday and tried the black and white raw hem flannel at Barneys which I would have bought end but am about to pre order the black suede chain wyatts. I'm also way into the chain wallets since I'm just a jeans and tee kind of guy. Getting this but in all black with silver chain :

@cloonz please do, would love to see the white

@slann01 if you come across the silver psych rock feather necklace holler at me..will pay a premium for that bad boy

http://www.businessoffashion.com/articles/bof-exclusive/bof-exclusive-how-hedi-slimane-presaged-fashions-instagram-obsession

"I haven’t been spending enough time to really document it for decades, so maybe I’ll do more things in New York. I don’t see the point in me having a place there if I don’t do anything with it — I have to transform it into something creative. I have a little studio — a portrait studio.”

So Hedi's possibly concentrating on photography again.
