Pretty idiotic of them. They should have at least waited till FW16 was released or until AV presented his first line. I suppose now we feel the same way everyone else felt when Hedi changed the whole brand up.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the selling of the last collection and where they will put the focus. Presumably, they still want it to sell...lol.

all i can tell you guys is i'm happy i stocked up, this isn't going to end well.

hiring vaccarello is beyond stupid, ysl would've been better off just reissuing slimane's ten collections for the next five years. as my gf said, "fucking wackarello. he manages to make models look shapeless and ugly".

fashion is gonna be really boring without a slimane like figure in the industry.

"Jesus graphics bring spiritual gravity to Riccardo Tisci’s sport-grunge separates". fucking kill me.

"Jesus graphics bring spiritual gravity to Riccardo Tisci’s sport-grunge separates".

Is that an actual piece of marketing copy?

His stuff looks so trashy probably even Zara/HM couldn't copy his stuff.

the tisci quote is from some ssense email i got when i wrote that post, but it encapsulates fashion industry logic perfectly. sport-grunge separates! spiritual gravity!

Them deleting his stuff from IG doesn't make it look good for the continuation of Slimane's permanent collection. Neon rider, if they reissued his collections again then profits would probably increase further I'd imagine. The occasional re-release of certain items, as in the DH days, is probably the best we can hope for. When profits fall dramatically (which they are sure to), they might wake up, but most likely it will be the biggest sellers again and again until we're all (even more) sick of the sight of them.

I'm about 5'7 and have all my pants tailored to about 27in. at 5'6 I don't think you'd want anything over 29in

Thought I'd add to the last few days of good pics.

@therattler looks great! I just picked up the cashmere breton sweater as well.

Honestly, if only from a marketing standpoint, it makes no sense to undermine Hedi before they've even started selling the fall pieces. Plus it just makes the label look needlessly spiteful.

I'm definitely wasting no time in picking up the items I want before he leaves. I imagine the fall pieces will be in high demand as well.

Looks good therattler. I have the navy version of that sweater, think I'll get the black as well.
