The L01 arms are slightly curved, so could be a case of certain peoples arm shape/shoulder cause the material to twist. Everybody's left and right sides are a little different so could be shoulder slope etc?

True. At this price, you can't expect your jacket to look remotely symmetrical. They should also charge extra for the zippers and hardware.
