Boy do I have quit the story to tell....
While making my rounds home today, I stumbled across a man throwing out two neckties. He asked me if I wanted them and I took a hunch and said yes. One of them was a Brioni tie and another was a Faberge tie. I only kept the Brioni one.
I have two big concerns:
1. The tie has some issues when it comes to being real. I own a few legitimate Brioni ties from top-tier stores and this tie seems to have a few variations from the ones I previously owned. The first concern I have is the logo placement. On most of my other ties the logo is in a darker box on the tab. This one has it in a big font without a box. Another problem I have is the lack of care instructions on the narrow end. The other ones I have include screen printed care instructions--this one does not. Could it be a sample perhaps? That's the only thing I can think of. The last concern I have is the absence of a dis. number. All of my other ties have it on them. Not all ties apparently have that, though.
2. Because this tie was just picked up, I have no history of how it was treated and who was using it. This leads me to believe that I may be at risk for a bedbug infestation if I decide to bring it inside my house. Currently it is sitting outside in a plastic Zip-Loc bag for my protection. What do you think I should do? Is there a big risk of getting infested from a tie?
