Cheap suit

I need an inexpensive suit. Im 6'2..215lbs..44L..36in waist. What the best OTR suit you guys suggest. Pair with nice shoes and accesories, and definetly getting it tailored. Just dont wear suits enough to spend large money. Would prefer to spend less than 600 for the suit. What do you all suggest?

Seeing nobody has replied so far I thought I'd comment. At the least it will bump you back up the list and may promote some discussion.

Have you considered looking online? We could make you a very nice hand tailored full canvas suit in your price range and we would be happy to make it in a standard OTR size if that's what you prefer.

If you want a standard OTR size then perhaps something sub $500 which would allow you enough for any necessary alterations and stay below your budget. I would also be prepared to work with you personally to ensure you get the suit you want and provide the best value possible.

If you're interested send me a PM and we can talk

I've owned several $400ish - $600ish suits.  At that price point, I don't really know that one brand is any better than the other.  My suggestion would be to go to several men's stores, and try out a variety of suits and go with what you think looks best on you.

And by the way, YOU probably know what looks better on you than the ill-informed dept store employee.  For whatever reason, they almost always want to fit you with a jacket one to two sizes too large... I don't know if their commission is based on larger sizes earning them more money??  Seriously though, if they say you need a 44L, you probably need a 42L.

If you can take someone with you who is knowledgeable, that can be a big help too.

Good luck.
